  2. View File [Fictional] C-24 / C-24B Super Hornet [Fictional] C-24 / C-24B Super Hornet This is a mod of the Super Hornets E and F from EricJ to make them look like planes from the spanish air force. BACKGROUND: In 2010, command of the EDA asked for the possibility of replacing their EF-18As and Bs with the more advanced E and F versions. Diplomacy made it possible that the Obama administration would take the old planes back and make a special offer. In 2012, the first squadrons received the new planes. Since the former Hornets wore the designation "C-15", the Super Hornets ought to have been designated C-15VA and CB-15VA, but these designations were too long so the Super Hornets were then called "C-24". INSTALLATION: Simply drop the Folders into your Strike Fighters Mods Folder. ALL READMES FROM THE ORIGNIAL MODELS ARE INCLUDED. CREDITS: EricJ – Purchased Model of F/A-18F from http://www.mesh-factory.com, Main texture artist, ini editing. FastCargo – 3D model work for all versions. Used some of his images for reference. View File [Fictional] IAI/Mikoyan Gurevych MiG-29I Shu'Al (Fox) IAI/Mikoyan Gurevych MiG-29I Shu'Al (Fox) for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 (Israel or Merged) I modded the MiG-29 from The Mirage Factory to make it look like a fictional fighter and recon plane for the israeli air force. BACKGROUND During the first Iraq War in 1991, a group of iraqi MiG-29 decided to desert trying to escape the fate their comrades faced against the overwhelming power of the USAF, US Navy and their allies. Their escape ended over the Golan Heights, where they were intercepted by a entire squadron of F-15 Baz and F-16 Netz patrolling. Due to some misunderstanding between the deserters and the defending pilots, two MiG-29 were shot down and the remaining ones got escorted to the Ramat David Airbase. Israel handed the pilots over to the US for further interrogation and kept the MiGs for studies. The capabilities of the plane convinced the commanders of the IDF. Israel offered Mikoyan Gurevych a offer for the license they could not refuse to accept, since MiG suffered a lot financially after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The MiG-29 was modified by IAI. Two years later, the first MiG-29I Shu'Al did it's maiden flight on the 24th of June 1993. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Drop the folders into your MODS Folder. If asked to overwrite, click yes. CREDITS All credit belongs to ALL the members of The Mirage Factory for their fantastic work they did with this model. Special credit goes to Oliver Anguille for his effort and hard work. May he rest in peace. Also big thanks to dast24 for porting the plane to SF2-Standards. A job well done. Old readme from the original SFP1-Model is included. For any further questions don't hesitate to contact me. Kindest regards NazGhul Submitter ValAstur Submitted 06/01/2011 Category What If Hangar

  9. Does converting of a plane from SF1 to SF2 count as modding? Do I have to ask the "converter" if I can take his plane and mod it and release it again? Just asking.

  11. View File [Fictional] SAAB J-35P Dragão (Dragon) SAAB J-35P Dragão (Dragon) for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 (Israel or Merged) I modded the fictional F-13 Draken from Spinners to make it look like a fictional fighter and recon plane for the portuguese air force. BACKGROUND The original intention of the portuguese government was to equip 2 entire squadrons, the 201st and the 301st, with F-16. After another evaluation of the financial capabilities, one squadron could not be equipped with the Falcon. Saab, having just signed the contract with Mitsubishi for the licensed Draken, also offered Portugal the option for the license of this plane. After doing some calculation, Portugal decided not to buy the license, but to equip the 301st sqaudron with an adapted Draken, which was then called "Dragão". INSTRUCTIONS 1. 12. View File [Fictional] Saab/Mitsubishi JF-35F Draken SAAB/Mitsubishi JF-35J Draken for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 I modded the fictional F-13 Draken from Spinners to make it look like a fictional fighter and recon plane for the japanese self defense force. BACKGROUND Due to some cuttings in the budget of the military administration, the JASDF was forced to look for some suitable substitute for the Starfighter, which became more and more expensive in maintenance. US-Planes still remained expensive, Soviet planes were no alternative due to pacts Japan was bound to. Sweden, as a neutral country not belonging to the Warsaw Pact, offered a good alternative with the J-35 Draken. Japan ordered two complete squadrons and dropped the Starfighter. INSTRUCTIONS 1. 17. View File [Fictional] Hispano-Suiza HA.210 Hidalgo Hispano-Suiza HA.210 Hidalgo (Nobleman) for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 (Israel or Quad-Merged) I modded the stock MiG-17F from SFP:I to make it look like a fictional fighter plane for the spanish air force. BACKGROUND The HA.200 Saeta, the precessor of the Hidalgo, was Spains first real jetfighter. But it didn't have enough power to stand a dogfight. So it was degraded to a trainer for the spanish piloting school. While trying to improve the plane and creating the HA.220 Super Saeta, another team of Hispano-Suizas R&D department was involved in the planification and construction of a plane able to be some worthy opponent in close dogfights. Three years later, the Hidalgo did it's maiden flight. The US was shocked about the capabilities of this tiny plane. Spain used this plane for long time, offering US-pilots a chance to test their dogfighting skills in their F-86 Sabres. The plane presented here was part of the Ala 6. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Drop the folders into your Objects folder. If asked to overwrite, click yes. CREDITS Big Thanks to Thirdwire for the games and the superb models they have.
