View File Blackburn Firebrand T.F. Mk V (*) The Blackburn Firebrand was a single-engine strike fighter for the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy during World War II by Blackburn Aircraft. Originally intended to serve as a pure fighter, its unimpressive performance and the allocation of its Napier Sabre piston engine by the Ministry of Aircraft Production for the Hawker Typhoon caused it to be redesigned as a strike fighter to take advantage of its load-carrying capability. Development was slow and the first production aircraft was not delivered until after the end of the war. Only a few hundred were built before it was withdrawn from front-line service in 1953. So the Firebrand T.F. Mk 5 (124 new and T.F. Mk IV upgraded) served with 813 and 827 NAS on Illustrious, Implacable, Indomitable and Eagle carriers, or at some bases like Ford or Culdrose from 1947 until 1953, when Wyvern arrived. What's in: - a new plane (*); - 6 new / upgraded skins; - Historical decalsets; - open canopy 10 key auto closing at take off; - cockpit from Wyvern; - weapons - sound; - New screens; - loadout.tga; Notes: (*) This not a complete plane: you need the lod files from A-TEAM site. You will found the Firebrand T.F. Mk IV in beta section. Credits: - All to A-TEAM - Skippybing - pit - Paulopanz - Skins, Decals, edits; Install: - copy Firebrand_G2-R0b.lod file in Firebrand filder inside the icluded mod folder - all mod folder content in your mod install - overwrite Known Issues: as this a beta (unifinished) model it has several issues. - 4 unmapped meshes (TDoor_R/L; RadiatorFlap_R/L) patched via decals; - uncorrect wingfold, as the real one was like Firefly (coming soon ...); - the right gear at take off is outside the relative door; Maybe it could be finished ... but we can use it very well too. The FM was edited to me to allow the plane to fly. A specialist (who said Baffmeister or Cliff?) should take care of this bird. I love british carrierborne planes of any kind. Happy new year gents! .... the "dark side" of the helo quick fixed (patched)! @Ace: for a real fix you have to ask to the maker at his site, in proper forum. Usually he makes the fixes. Anyway nice work. -
You are tryng to install in SF-2 an old SF-1 model .... In SF-2 each game creates a "mod" folder in user section (in my install; paolo/partite salvate/ thirdwire) The folders you don't find have to create ... My suggestion'ld be to start with an SF-2 add-on mod so You will understand as it works. About pit no more pit folders inside planes .... only plane.ini edits. Anyway even if Exp. 2 Lightnings are newer if you realy want this for SF2 PM me the exact file you like, point me to it and I will port to sf-2 for you ... No much trouble I think . Paul

This discussion bring me back to some old, bad times .... please not. As here we are all freeware modders and we love that ship that one of us FRPignon simply tried to port in SF2, I think that jag104, that is a real 3D Artist, could do the job and share with this community his fantastic ship. This way no problem about credits, our best thanks to jag104 and all the CA people very, very happy! Peace and love

The Hawk T1 (Trainer Mark 1) was the original version of the Hawk used by the RAF, deliveries commencing in November 1976. The RAF received a total of 175 T1s. The Hawk T1A is a modified Hawk T1, intended to replace the Hawker Hunter in the RAF's Tactical Weapons Units. A total of 89 aircraft were converted to carry two underwing AIM-9L Sidewinder air-to-air missiles and a centreline Aden gun pod. This is the original trainer version. The Mk. T.1A already exist. Maybe we will update a little bit. :)

Interesting! But before thinking about the what if Javelins I'ld like to finish the "real" ones ... So the FAW. 7 is in take off and I hope that all early marks will be portrayed. My best wishes are for T.3!!!! And I have to say that I'm not so interested in what ifs. Anyway the "King of what ifs" is looking at the Javs so I think he will do some wonderful what ifs too. Far better than mine. Thank You all that downloaded and liked these Javelins. Ettore and I started many times and suspended this project in last years. Now I'm very happy to finish it up and show who realy is our friend VELTRO2k: a great 3D artist.

View File Gloster Javelin FAW. 8-9-9R pack The Gloster Javelin was a twin-engined all-weather interceptor aircraft that served with Britain's Royal Air Force in the late 1950s and most of the 1960s. It was a T-tailed delta-wing aircraft designed for night and all-weather operations and was the last aircraft design to bear the Gloster name. Introduced in 1956 after a lengthy development period, the aircraft received several upgrades during production to its engines, radar and weapons, including support for the De Havilland Firestreak air-to-air missile. The Javelin was succeeded in the interceptor role by the English Electric Lightning, a supersonic aircraft capable of flying more than double the Javelin's top speed, which was introduced into the RAF only a few years later. The Javelin served for much of its life alongside the Lightning; the last Javelins were withdrawn from operational service in 1968 following the induction of successively more-capable versions of the Lightning. FAW 8 Upgraded Sa.7R engines with reheat, raising thrust to 12,300 lbf (54.7 kN) thrust above 20,000 ft (6,100 m); at lower altitudes, the limitation of the fuel pump caused a loss of cold thrust. New "drooped" wing leading edge and auto-stabilizer for better handling. Short nose. FAW 9 A total of 118 FAW 7s refitted with the revised wing and engines of the Mk 8. Wet pylons. Long nose.
