  1. German TV sucks, not true? BTW, I thought exactly the same yesterday! Anastasios
  2. Sounds perfect!! The only remaining question now is: when?? itifonhom
  3. Nice thread! I work at Frankfurt Airport for a security company. But still I have nothing to do with security!! :-) It´s a nice job that brings me in contact with thousands of people everyday. Although this isn´t always good! I worked as a graphic artist for 6-7 years in the past. From all this, only the love to photography still remains. itifonhom.
  4. Amazing career indeed, sorry to see he is down. I don´t even dare to think how you feel like right now... itifonhom
  5. Not mean to hack the thread but I got the exact same card and get such ground textures too, not always, only from time to time, much smaller areas than this one in this screenshot and it´s always half black and half white. It seems though, that the problem is there only at certain angles or distances, when these change the problem goes away. itifonhom.
  6. Hey Pappy, no, actually flying a WWI plane with a yoke feels really ok, it's quite precise, having a lot more movement freedom than a stick and I got many buttons on it too. And the throttle is just at the right position too. After all, if you look closely, the WWI sticks looked more like a yoke. Ok, moved like a joystick, yes, but the grip is like a yoke. I'm getting really well with it for sure, itifonhom
  7. I got a Saitek Yoke and Throttle quadrant and I live it! I use the pedals of a Logitech Drive Force, although not the best option, the whole works rather good. itifonhom
  8. Just FANTASTIC!! I am JEALOUS too!! itifonhom
  9. Amazing movie indeed, never seen anything like it before! Thanks for sharing Olham! itifonhom.
  10. Hey, quite a nice response there!! Thank you everybody for your feedback here. uncleal: Nice site indeed and the props look really nice but I really prefer to do it myself and if, then laminated. Although I have to admit their prices are really amazing! itifonhom
  11. Well, wearing such a medal would be sick indeed. But I agree, preserve them and their stories where possible is a nice and good task for sure. itifonhom.
  12. Hey Lou, nice info indeed, thanks for the tip about the wood type. As I said, this is going to just hang on my wall, so it just has to look good, not function in any way. Specially, I´d like to get this dark/light layer style, looks just great to me. The site is also very informative, I´m going to read everything right now!! Thanks Lou! itifonhom
  13. I´d like to see a Siemens-Schuckert D.IV for sure. itifonhom.
  14. I really hope you are right ! I can´t wait for news!!! itifonhom.
  15. Hi fellow OFFers, I had the idea the other day of making a wooden propeller for my living room. I researched a bit at google and found out that there are two methods used, one with cross section templates and one with lateral. As I find the cross section method rather complicated for my taste, I decided to go for the lateral one but the problem is, I can´t find any lateral templates on the net. At least not big enough. The propeller should get some 150cm long (59 in) and made out of Maple. I found this site: http://www.nmine.com/handmade.htm And this one: http://images.google.de/imgres?imgurl=http://www.aerodyndesign.com/PROP_10/PROP_10.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.aerodyndesign.com/PROP_10/PROP_10.htm&usg=__DnUs9V_9c-RPDCTh6WUU7G5z9OA=&h=849&w=1200&sz=144&hl=de&start=36&um=1&tbnid=TBEUUlUq0TrdUM:&tbnh=106&tbnw=150&prev=/images%3Fq%3DWooden%2Bpropeller%2Btemplates%26ndsp%3D18%26hl%3Dde%26client%3Dopera%26rls%3Den%26sa%3DN%26start%3D18%26um%3D1 I just wanted to ask if anybody here has any kind of experience on this matter and maybe already has some lateral templates that wants to share. Generally, any help, tip, idea, anything will help, I never tried this before but always was amazed from propellers hanging on the wall. Thanks in advance, itifonhom.
  16. I played Total War since Shogun too. I liked everything but Empire, it´s the only TW that got deleted so quick from my harddrive and it won´t get in again. itifonhom.
  17. I'm going to give this a try for sure, thanks for all the info! itifonhom
  18. I welcome this brave pilot at Jasta 2! The first mission is always decisive for a young pilot and that one went really good. But, stay alert! The Front near Bertincourt can be very quiet but very busy too! Sometimes this even happens in a single mission! You will get a steady diet of Bees and Fees, some DH2s but also Nieups 17 and Pups. The later two are really poisonous to a Halb, just stay away of them, unless the A flight which already has the Alb is nearby. Nice story indeed, itifonhom
  19. Yes I agree, with some pilots feels somehow "right" while others just get wasted and get forgetted. Olham: I am going to make me an avatar, a signature and some pilot fotos as soon as my Photoshop pc a new graffic card has. For now I must stay with the defaults. itifonhom
  20. That's really a good "OFFer"! Nice gesture, means we are going to have a brand new pilot soon! And that means free drinks! Nice gesture Tom! itifonhom
  21. Looks great, is it an original, you say? Must cost a fortune but worths every penny I say, nice addition indeed! itifonhom
  22. Quite interesting thread indeed! Just to add mine: 1. Military Modeling and Figure Painting 2. FSX ( I fly for two VAs) 3. Airbrushing 4. Photography and Photoshoping 5. Aviation 6. Traveling and collecting badges of visited cities/ places. 7. Play the drums. 8. Airguns and archery. 9. History, Philosophy and Physics books. Maybe too many hobbies is reason why I'm still poor! itifonhom
  23. Thanks everybody, I'm going to miss him. His succesor is already enlisted, Flieger Peter Schilien, a Flieger yet but he has the PLM potential! itifonhom
  24. Welcome back Olham, nice to have you back. I was wondering too were have you been, that surely wasn't usual! itifonhom
  25. Nice info there, thanks for sharing, I'm going to keep it in mind, just in case. itifonhom
