Edit: This is supposed to be in the SF2 forum. I made a little misstake it seems. And the game im using is the SF2 series. A couple of questions. Ive noticed that the F-5E gets way to high speeds on the briefing map. With the figures below in mind i calculated that the cruise speed for the F-5E is around 500 knots. So what the game does is asking me on missions to hold speeds up to 800 knots when flying towards the mission objective. That is basicly full afterburner constantly. Looking at the F-16 its got cruise speed of 370 knots. And somehow i doubt that the climb and corner speeds should not be this similar in the two jets. I dont know if this is right or not but the cruise speed does seem a little fishy to me. Any ideas? Using what fubar said, i googled simhq bombing and i got this: SimHQ Bombing Techniques for SF1 About your other questions, the ones about bombs and such. I dont know if those exist but if you say you read the falcon manual then you should have some info about it all because its basicly the same weapons. If that isnt enough then i guess you will have to google every weapon. Thats what i did until i learned what they do.

Well its no particular jet just overall. But the last thing you just mentioned i have noticed in the latest F14. In 6 missions so far the game has put the third waypoint at least 20 minutes of flight away from the carrier. And that is flying at a altitude of 2400feet and a speed of 600 knots. So by the time im there almost all of the fuel is gone. And i have to get to the target area aswell and then again back.

Well if we look at the german campaign ingame for example. Would it be safe to assume that NATO would use air refueling in that theatre? Because sometimes when reaching the target there is basicly enough fuel for half a dogfight and then home.

Lately ive found myself running out of fuel constantley ingame. Ive always been running on everything hard and it got me thinking. Do these big jets really have this high of a fuel consumption? I mean a jet should easily be able to cross germany without a problem. Well that statement has no facts behind it just my general thought. Anyways, what fuel setting do you guys find most realistic when looking at the mission ranges used ingame? Thank you

Thank you! Another question: The TCS. Its not implemented yet as it says in the avionics manual. Does the sim allow features like these to be used ingame?

I installed a fresh new install for this update and am having some issues. I did everythign by the book, or so i think and this is what i get. Any ideas? Thank you!
