  1. Air drop received... Check drop zone... :)
  2. The TE has a function to add "TOD" files... Deuces is the TOD master around these parts...
  3. The TE has controls to rotate the displayed HFD... The stock Dhimar map is of southeastern Africa, rotated 90 degrees, so the "geo" is "real", only the "political" is fictional...
  4. To answer the original question, the entire official SF series has hit everything BUT WWII. The only other part missing is, of course, the most modern avionics of the last couple of decades. Of course, modders have filled in MANY blanks for the SF series, which was the entire point of SF anyway... For me personally, the earlier sims tug at my youthful memories, recalling the aircraft I read about in my mis-spent youth... (can I get a refund, USAFMTL?) The most modern jets have no nostalgic pull at my hearts memories... As for graphic loads, my current machine is nearly maxed out with upgrades. I can go one step better to a 7600 x 512mbDDR video card, and that will be it. CPU is maxed, RAM is maxed... I would dearly love to be able to break down and buy a new monster Alienware something or other... just not right now. As for Windows Vista, the thought of an OS that requires 15GB of space is just too bloated for my mind... ML
  5. Nice to see you here...
  6. I will post a picture of a WWII cluster bomb that would be useful for the P-47 "crowd"... (All three of us)
  7. Hausser, have you seen the SF decal tutorial? http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...mp;showfile=345 This is a "must read" for modders... It will explain about "levels" and how sequentially ordered decals are applied... I see you do not have "decal level" on your ini....
  8. Hausser, please post your decal.ini here... Probably a "level" issue... ( 0, 1 or 2)... (refer to the decal instructions in the CA download section)
  9. Objects (LOD files) have a known issue with tiles that have an associated HM file... This may well apply with TOD files too, not sure. Known bug, TK just hasn't gotten around to fixing it...
  10. I see TK gave you the better advice at the Thirdwire forum... It's easy once you see it. Which program are you using for graphics?
  11. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=21102 This thread has information about TGA alpha layer... Be sure to look closely at a stock tile that has water and you will see what needs to be in place to designate water... ML.
  12. Make sure you save as 32 bit TGA with alpha layer for transparency for water...
  13. The start of WWIII? Or worse, is that the Valley of Megido perhaps...
  14. That must have felt like Hell breaking loose when you pulled the trigger... The guns are inches from your elbows...
  15. Man the Hog Sabre is so close... The flat tail from the K, four 20mms and the F40 wing... Just thicken up the fuselage a little vertically... Add in an 8900# engine and away we go...
  16. Anyone working on the F-86H? Zur has stepped away from the Sabres, and has released his 3D files for mod. This would be a great plane for SF.... http://www.marchfield.org/f86h.htm
  17. If you get SH4, be sure to get the 1.3 patch. This game has some bugs and oddities, but overall, I really enjoy it... It sure has split my computer time...
  18. I don't... Your instructions look right... The only thing that raises my eyebrows is that 24bit TGA... Wasn't there an issue with a late model PS that needed a patch for 32bit TGAs to work correctly? If you have PS, check the Adobe website for updates...
  19. You could always use the docks from DBS... I think Pasko made them... Russo made some too I think, that ended up in the Falklands map...
  20. SELECTIONS > INVERT ??? (I do this with PS5.5 also...)
  21. Well, that is interesting, 8bit for Alpha and 16 bit for color...
  22. Does your version of PSP support 32 bit TGA format? This is a MUST for decals... ( 24 bit for color and 8 bit for transparency...)
  23. This sucks... A classic sunrise... A busy port... Betrayed by the Moon...
  24. Can you spot the flying jackalope bunny?
  25. Well, it would seem that demands for computing power is spiralling upward, it just remains to be determined which piece of hardware will do the work... Thanks for the thoughtful replies..
