  1. Ok cool, didnt know that. But when I click on the editor to start it for some reason it doesnt start. I had the same problem with some of the other older editors too.
  2. Ok, heres one for you. Im doing the same thing, adding weps individually. Ive copied the data from an older weaponsdata.ini since I cant find it anywhere else to the weaponsdata.ini I extracted from the objects.cat file in my new install of the game and saved it. I then followed the procedure outlined in the directions in your link Dave, checking and double checking each thing. The weps still do not appear. I have added nukes, Aim-120s, -54's, and a few others. I made a weapons folder and placed all the addon weps in it. This folder is in the Objects folder. The reason I decided to add weps manually was becuase I cant get ANY weps to show up when I try installing Bunyaps or MF's weapons packs! The only one that seemed to show any weps was the WOI pack. Now mind you, this is a vanilla install patched with the latest Oct2008 patch. Im at a loss here...
  3. Great story...<S> and RIP...
  4. Yeah Batilka, dont let the lack of replies bug ya too much. Ive been modding off and on for a number of years here and elsewhere and to get a single reply is doing good, lol. You got the right idea to watch the number of downloads grow. THATS where the reward comes in. Well, got shot down last night by quad .50s as I strafed a parked aircraft so my first attempt at a campaign is over. Im going to start up again tonight after a fresh install...;o)
  5. Great replies fellas, thanks. I'll start work on this tonight. You know, just a thought...maybe we could upload the edited inis here. That would save the community a lot of work. Of course, it wouldnt be so "personalized"...but a thought. I like the idea of making different inis for different weapon groups and ditching the most common un-used weapons like the inerts and dummies. Not being a knowledgable person with weps though, I wont likely be able to break them down by nationality. It'll take research.
  6. Maybe these things have already been talked about. If so, I missed 'em. I have SFP1 and now have it patched to the Oct2008 level. -First thing I noticed in flight was the flight models are definately different, espesially low speed handling. The F-4 and F-100 are really not low speed dogfighters any more which I expect is how it should be. I havent actually stalled but the mushy feeling and sloppy handling is sure there. -I also noticed that the desert map is looking pretty sharp. The sea, shoreline ,and city areas have been given a face lift looks like to me. Also like the static aircraft at the bases, Very nice... -I like the aircraft names on the map now, nice touch. Plus all the added pilots pictures to choose from, cool. -On the negative side...for some reason my F-4's, all varients, dont have Sparrows anymore. This could be because I messed up my install. I started with a vanilla install, added the patch, then Bunyaps weapons pack, then the MF weps pack 01/02/2008, then the WOI weps pack #1 dated Oct 20, 2008. Was that a mistake? -Not sure I like the F6 view going to static aircraft now also in addition to flying aircraft, takes too long to cycle thru the aircraft.
  7. Im one of the "different" sort who like playing the Red side in a battle or campaign. The original Red Wings was cool. Thanks for the addon for the Parani forces...very nice, no problems so far.
  8. Gotta say that is a sweet looking model. Here's my voice for release Marcello...;0)
  9. The PGR website is found here...http://patriotguard.org/ Yeah this is great. They dont spout politics or act violent or anything stupid...just stand for the vets and their families. Im looking into it too.
  10. If youv got a few minutes, check these guys out. It will warm your heart. PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS I think I'll look into this group here in Montana. I know they've done a few funerals and rides in Ronan this last summer.
  11. Yup, just dont drink anymore other than the rare beer or shot, best way to avoid overhangs. Back in the day it was tequila/mescal, mojo, and uzo...famous for wicked hangovers. Enough of those finally convinced me to not go there... A good louis lamour remedy that really works is to avoid the stupid young person habit of guzzling and as you drink moderately, eat something, espesially bread. This seems to help absorb the alcohol and you maintain a nice buzz without the stumbling, falling down, nausea greased floorslide feeling. As the Greeks say, "Everything in moderation."
  12. Ive been here from nearly the very begining and the search function has always been porked. I realized it when once I tried typing in different aircraft and it came back with almost the same results each time...17 pages worth or so it seemed, lol. Now I pretty much such do the long search the hard way when I want something.

    Anysoldier.com

Was wondering how I could offer a little support to our troops and came across this website...WWW.ANYSOLDIER.COM. Looks good. Gonna start working on some letters and a box today. Maybe send a few newspapers along too. Check out the video called Tango Mike about midway down the page. Maybe we can put something together thru CA. Maybe a monthly donation each or something. Just a thought. I dont know if we already have something like this going or mot. If so, pardon my ignorance.
  14. I was spending a winter working for the highway dept plowing snow. I hadnt built a model in years and decided it might be fun in my off hours. So I bought this big, beautiful model of the Coast Guard training ship Eagle. It was 90% done, hull, decks, rigging, requiring only the addition of the sails. I went to work and came home 8 hours later to find my cat had turn it into one giant plastic hairball. Cat needed a new home the next day...
  15. Yep, she's got a voice like an angel and cute to boot.

Never heard of comfort food till I got married. My wife enjoys various things all the time, mostly built around eggs. Me personally? Gimme a half gallon of vanilla or a buttery bowl of popcorn with parmesan...lol.

    Time For......

Dave, Just curious...that looks as delicious as all get out. But I dont eat pork myself. How would this method of yours on the coals work with beef? Probably about the same eh? Those coals are all to one side and the meat is on the other? Probably dumb question but I dont know much at all about BBQ. Always wanted to learn more though. The wife and I bought a small smoker for the back porch that we grill links, burgers, and some small steaks on. Wouldnt mind expanding my meat horizons...

  24. "I'm not mellower, I'm not less angry, I'm not less self-critical, I'm not less tenacious. Maybe the best part is that your liver can't handle those beers at noon anymore," he said. Two of my favorite flicks, Cool Hand Luke and The Sting.
  25. What I said earlier not-withstanding, read this article this morning on the AP wire...Multiple quick fixes tried for US financial crisis . Geeze...
