Pardon me if I'm wrong, but the site says that Kerry earned the "Navy's second-highest honor." Would that not be the Navy Cross, and the Medal of Honor be the highest? Or is the CMOH considered in a class by itself and the Navy Cross the highest honor for the Navy? Just a technical question...Not that I'm going to pay to play this stuff anyway..Like I said before, unbelievable...And firehawkordy...

Anyone have info or a link to more info on this game? Unbelievable...

I believe it was on avsim.com, it's in the markings of a North Dakota ANG F-101. If you can't find it on avism, try fsfreeware.com. Search for Voodoo, F-101B, or NODAK. One of them should find it for you... If you still need help let me know. It's a fun aircraft to have!

Don't worry Jinks, you're not alone...I routinely take off in a high performance military fighter (usually the F-101 Voodoo or F-15C that I have) and buzz by and form up on airliners, just for kicks. I had seen a screenshot a while ago from someone who had an RCAF Voodoo and managed to form up and "escort" a Russian "Bear." Looked really cool. Anyone know how I can get this to happen on FS 2004? Thanks...

Thanks Chief! And yes, I do have a high-speed connection, so it should be up shortly...

NavyChief, Looks very nice...Do you have a link for it? Thanks!

PG Raptor, Do a search for Glacier Girl under the FS2004 category at avsim.com. A pack of three P-38s (including "Glacier Girl") will result...I would think this is the one that Boltz mentioned... Haven't tried it yet but it looks great in the picture provided on the site...If this isn't the right one, I'm sure Boltz will steer us in the right direction.

Biohaz Mp Fly-in Tonight, Friday Dec. 5
HogFan replied to MadJeff's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator
Hmmm...I'll definitely have to consider it...Might not be around at 8, but a little later, sounds like fun. -
I'd definitely have to agree with the BoB soundtrack...

Hey there, I was just wondering if anyone has been able to find a good A-10 for FS2004 yet. Any help, links, etc, would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated!

Shameless self-bump ;) and also wondering if anyone had found an A-6 (or EA-6) or F-14 that looked good on FS2004... Thanks again in advance...

Wow! That RA-5C looks pretty sweet...Hope someone makes it for FS2004.

Hey Mudd, I flew gliders for a while too before I started flying powered. They gave me a lot of great experience that I could put to use in my flight lessons (basic airmanship, landings, etc.), so much so that I was able to greatly shorten the time to earning my PPL. I have gliders (and my great instructors) to thank for introducing me to flight. Flew at Harris Hill for the Snowbird contest (spot landing) a few years, had a great time.

Hey Mudd, I tried getting to that FTP site you mentioned, but it said I was not allowed to access the folder...If we can't find a way around it, not a big deal, I can wait until we get them loaded up here. Thanks...

USS Intrepid is a great museum, and it is constantly improving! I've been there quite a few times, as I am just about an hour-hour 1/2 from NYC (depending on the traffic).

Dagger, I found it at www.fsfreeware.com...If you can't find it there, let me know and I might be able to send it to you via e-mail. (You are talking about the RAF one, I presume)

Great job, Raptor! I just passed my checkride in May of 2002, and I am working on my instrument rating right now.

Chief, I am so sorry to hear about this. I understand a little of what you must have been going through, as I had to make the decision to "put down" my dog of 11 years this past March. It was the hardest thing I ever did, and life will never be quite the same. I miss my dalmatian, Halligan, beyond belief, especially being an only child. All the best...

That is one sweet looking airplane! It has become a favorite of mine, buzzing over the tree tops and doing mock bomb runs. Great detail and the cockpit is excellent. Are there any other aircraft done by this individual or group?

I have been a volunteer fireman for the past two and a half years, and got my EMT certification this February... My father has been a volunteer fireman for over 15 years, I'd guess...But more importantly, he was in FDNY for 27 years and a Port Authority Police Officer for a couple of years before that. Just retired this year.

I was at class, it was my junior year in high school. We got sketchy reports of what was happening, but it became apparent through cell phone calls that something was going south fast. My math teacher brought a radio to class and we listened to the live broadcasts from Washington and NYC the entire time. Another teacher managed to get a TV hooked up and witnessed the 2nd plane crash. The entire school quickly became flooded with news and rumors, crying kids, and worried teachers. Many kids were being pulled out early by their parents, some had no idea where their parents were (our HS was about 60-70 miles north of the city, plenty of parents working there). My father was with FDNY and he pulled me out early and then went down to search at the WTC site with other firemen from his company. I reported to my volunteer fire company's firehouse, where we were put on standby for possible duty in the city, or covering for other departments closer to the city who were supposedly already in route to NYC. Then we got word that our mission would probably be setting up landing zones for helicopters carrying casualties to hospitals in our area. However, that never materialized, because most of the people who were supposed to be trapped were actually dead. The large amount of wounded never materialized. I got home late that evening, but my father searched at the site for two days straight, then went back a few days later for another shift. He might have had a 3rd shift, but I can't remember exactly. He lost a lot of friends, and I knew some of the firemen very well too. The rest of the year was just one memorial service after another; I helped play echo "Taps" at two of them, because the FDNY was short of buglers. I will never forget what happened that day, or what followed.

That's pretty sweet... :)

Keep up the work...I respect you very much for choosing that school. It has a long, proud history, from what I know of it. Remember, don't take anything personally!
