  1. Einstein I am. I forgot about it. 3 Falcons to start with. Where, I dunno.
  2. KCT GREAT STUFF VELTRO makes some DEEP 3Detail in the crew compartments. I'm using Boopidoo's Su-15 cockpit panels inside the Thudwire Tu-16 model, although there are only two engine guages. Here is what it looks like (maybe needs lowering a bit)... For heavy bombers, I assume the radar operator, not pilot, has a radar display, and use the game box radar instead of pit panel radar screen. This opens a greater range of available cockpits for radar equipped heavy bombers, including cockpits lacking radar. Only other requirement is a possible need for adding RWR.
  3. Some old Patch changed radar usage from .tga to .bmp. If the radar image is tga, you have to convert it to bmp.
  4. Wow you can mix and match out of order, and it ALL WORKS. I never knew this. This is deep 3D model. AwSim stuffs.
  5. Wow! Just getting round to this one. Amazing stuff. Cockpit.ini file: The last few Instrument[0mn]= definitions are out of number sequence -- the landing lights and stuff. **EDIT** -- no, some more are out of order, whole blocks....they are mixed up, but all may be there. I've never seen this before.
  6. Popular on the trading forums...
  7. Yep, international corporate chains offer fast poisons. Best international fast foods are always local: Polish Deli, Italian deli, taco trailers outside surf shoppes, etc...
  8. Julhelm:: Very good question, and I haven't explored this yet since its so new in the sim (thanks TeamVoodoo). Assuming best range, carry 3 belly tanks, and maybe a pair of underwing Falcon or Sidewinders, and maybe a pair of wingtip rails, or perhaps a pair of double launchers underwing for 4 Sidewinders/Falcons. Delete guns...at least for the sim because gun armed AI has a general desire to end up at sea level in slow turning gunfight. If all missiles are expended at high altitude, the AI stops attacking (SF 2006) so the AI dogfight problem won't generally happen, and *with some tweaking* the F-101 under AI control should be fast enough to stay ahead of ALL contemporary Soviet fighters even MiG-21F and Su-7 over time, and time is what these two Soviet fighters lack under afterburner. Well those are some initial potential possible ideas anyways. Most likely better ideas are needed here.
  9. There may be exceptions, one for example: B-52D.lod works fine in SF 2006. This is the one thing I pulled out of WoV2008 and simply dumped into SF 2006 B-52D folder. Works fine, including skin, but new decal placement is needed for the smaller size LOD, which I have not gotten around to doing (I forgot to grab this from 2008 before I deleted it).
  10. Cool as long as you are backed up. I decided to move back to SF 2006, deleted my SF 2008, then my 2006 WOULD NOT EVEN START. It was a tiny error in Options that crept in for some reason. Of course I figured it out after I started again from my unpatched SF 1.0 backup, after moving all my stuff over, in the end I found the single tiny error in ONE small ini file. Backups man backups.
  11. This is *really* neat stuff. What book is this, and is it still available? There seems to be a footnote numbered 144. Does it explain how this works? Book::
  12. Very interesting, thanks. Any info on afterburner usage during cruise? As for the radar, how is it reduction instead of increase? 100sqm is big, 100,000sqm is an aircraft carrier, or that's my thinking anyway.
  13. Is that RCS reduction, or increase? 100sqm is big, 100,000sqm is an aircraft carrier. I don't know much about this subject so lala... That plume in the back, big IR signature especially in the clear cold dry air near space. However, I've read that the B-70 didn't use afterburner for Mach 3 cruise, just to accelerate to that speed where the wave riding offers *less* drag than found at lower speeds, for this design. The uneeded power of the burners could however be used to maintain Mach 3 in the event of multiple engine failure. That's what I read, but from only one source, and I have not confirmed that anywhere, and I kinda need to.
  14. EDIT...or Enviro problem...actually, it looks more like the terrain "fog" taking over the terrain. Maybe bad TARGET.ini file so airfield is outside map. Notice the camera X,Y positions...I can't read them, but they are curiously rounded off large numbers indicating default placement of camera due to mission run failure.
  15. What patch version? What modding or messing? Do the view controls work when you see that? Need more info. Could be a terrain problem...that looks like the white abyss beyond the north/south map edge but that should only be visible pre-Patch2008. Only 17km altitude so terrain *should* be visible unless you look at into the abyss?
  16. See if this works, Position for Su-11, Offset for F-104 cockpit inside B-47 external model. Tweak to taste. Show screenshot. Overall, the full MirFac's -21PF pit may be better, or maybe Ordway's MiG-19 pitmod of...wait what did...he used A-4 for that right? I forgot, I'm staying with F-86Dora cockpit sovietized for MiG-19. Position=0,3.25,0.70 Offset=0,00.05,0.05 Instrument[050]=RWR Instrument[051]=Move1 Instrument[052]=Move2 Instrument[053]=Move3 Instrument[054]=Move4 Instrument[055]=Move5 Instrument[056]=Move6 Instrument[057]=Move7 Instrument[058]=Move8 Instrument[059]=Move9 [RWR] Type=RWR NodeName=ADI2 [Move1] Type=AIRSPEED_INDICATOR NodeName=cockpit_p MovementType=POSITION_Z Set[01].Position=-9 Set[01].Value=0.0 Set[02].Position=-9 Set[02].Value=1.0 [Move2] Type=AIRSPEED_INDICATOR NodeName=instrument panel MovementType=POSITION_Z Set[01].Position=9 Set[01].Value=0.0 Set[02].Position=9 Set[02].Value=1.0 [Move3] Type=AIRSPEED_INDICATOR NodeName=standby compass MovementType=POSITION_Z Set[01].Position=00.09 Set[01].Value=0.0 Set[02].Position=00.09 Set[02].Value=1.0 [Move4] Type=AIRSPEED_INDICATOR NodeName=cowl MovementType=POSITION_Z Set[01].Position=-0.02 Set[01].Value=0.0 Set[02].Position=-0.02 Set[02].Value=1.0
  17. Yea, look at the big thread, B-47 is on page...I forgot. After the first two pages, its all more or less in chronological order. Maybe start roundabout page 12. You know, F-104 cockpit canopy can be completely removed, and this would match the 152 frameless racing canopy. I'm thinking a production version might have something more robust however, at least -21PF style forward frames at a minimumnumnum. Another thought: Ordway has MiG-19ized the A-4E pit with radar, and that pit's canopy frames can be removed, or partially removed leaving forward frames. Lots of options here.
  18. Modelwise, it would work fairly well -- Su-11 has nice 3D interior. See link below. However, the Mirage Factory MiG-21 pit is in French and has no OUT file so I never got round to stargetting this series of pits...mainly because they work so well and the MiG-21 external models (Thudwire at least, I use them) have very low poly pilot compartments. I prefer the full MF cockpits with the MiG-21 series. Stargetic Su-9, Su-11, and Su-15 on this page ~> http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.p...a&start=160 Big Problem: The Su-11 canopy framing is NO MATCH for 152 series canopy framing (or total lack of it). Mirage Factory PF pit is the closest fit here -- almost frameless (really, look at MiG-21PF with MirFac's cockpit).
  19. PF pit gives closest opening/closing canopy match. Remember, this series was made about the same time PF was made, and well before the later MiG-21S and so on with their green cockpits. For the younguns ... grande French website having info on 150 to 152 series...use BabelFish to translate complete webpage. French language, several pages on the entire series ~> http://prototypes.free.fr/ye8/ye8-8.htm BabelFish translator website, use Translate a web page ~> http://babelfish.yahoo.com/ If you need more, get this from Amazon or a local book store can order it for you...
  20. I dunno, maybe the IR missile wasn't ready at the time, maybe the 152 didn't yet have the added ability to do so. That's why it may be a good idea to include the IRM for non-hysterical AirToAir. ie...for hysterical correct test flying R-4R should be on both wingtip stations, but one IR for the hypothetical productions version. You gotta think this stuff out.
  21. All the pics I've seen indicate R-4R ONLY. No IR missiles. But, make the weapon stations both SAHM and IRM just in case, who knows... In my fantasy campaign, I assume large scale production of B-70 so anything goes as long as it should *work* in the real world even if not in the hysteria books.
  22. Loadout idea... For AirToAir... [AirToAir] Loadout[01].WeaponType=R-4R Loadout[01].Quantity=1 Loadout[02].WeaponType=R-4T Loadout[02].Quantity=1 Loadout[03].WeaponType= Loadout[03].Quantity=0 Loadout[04].WeaponType= Loadout[04].Quantity=0 Loadout[05].WeaponType=Tank1500_E152 Loadout[05].Quantity=1 Loadout[06].WeaponType=R-4R Loadout[06].Quantity=0 Loadout[07].WeaponType=R-4T Loadout[07].Quantity=0 For TestFlight (you can make up loadout options) [TestFlight] Loadout[01].WeaponType=R-4R Loadout[01].Quantity=0 Loadout[02].WeaponType=R-4T Loadout[02].Quantity=0 Loadout[03].WeaponType= Loadout[03].Quantity=0 Loadout[04].WeaponType= Loadout[04].Quantity=0 Loadout[05].WeaponType=Tank1500_E152 Loadout[05].Quantity=1 Loadout[06].WeaponType=R-4R Loadout[06].Quantity=1 Loadout[07].WeaponType=R-4T Loadout[07].Quantity=1 All the zero quantities keep the original Su-11 empty pylons from showing. The last stations 6 and 7 would be for hysterically correct test flights with wingtip missiles.
  23. That does look nice. Another idea....Su always used two drop tanks, MiG seemed to like only one. You can set the Su tanks to quantity zero so their pylons don't show, and make new station for one belly tank. 152M carried a whopping 1500 liter tank, and if I recall I use the 370gal F-4 drop tank.
