  1. Everyone, I have great news, it look like I am able to run SF2, even without reinstalling them completely. What I did was: 1) Cleaned everything using CClean (explorer, firefox, window temporarily files) 2) Cleaned registry using CClean 3) Ran Avast! all night, but yet no virus found 4) Ran spyware and malware scanner, found several of them, erased them 5) I didn't touch my ATI driver, my driver is still 10.11 and I am not going anywhere until the latest driver are very stable. I am so tired and sick of constant problem updating ATI driver, their driver and software are known to be very problemic so I'll wait until they release fully stable driver/software. For now I am quite happy with my current CCC (from 10.8) and driver (10.11). 6) It appear that my sound driver is VERY old, so I updated them Now suddenly, I am able to load my SF2 into mission completely! :) Chaoic out...
  2. This is exactly why I am stumped. I am going to completely uninstall SF2, clean registry using cclean, and then reboot. After that, I will re-install SF2 again (combo merged), with expansion pack 1 and 2, then patch (groan here comes long installing time again). Then I will cross my fingers and hope they work this time. Chaoic out...
  3. C:\Users\David Salazar\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Objects\Aircraft\ >>> Into CF-104s and F-104s folders. I will look into NATO Fighter, I was planning on downloading these great NATO fighter package for SF2 after I prepare my SF2 fully with all unlocked AI only aircraft and tweaking SF2. Thank you very much for trying to help me with my problem. I also thank Fubar512 for same reasons. Chaoic out...
  4. FrankD, I will try that and it'll take me a while to reinstall all again but it is worth it. Fubar512, Yes that is correct, I installed SF2 into this direction: C:\Program Files (x86)\ThirdWire\Strike Fighters 2 Chaoic out...
  5. What I did, as instructed by Wrench: 1) Download TK F-104G for Strike Fighter Gold from this link: http://combatace.com/files/file/1485-f-104g/ 2) made a copy of SF2.exe and rename it as SFG.exe, and keep it away from SF2 folder and any other folder related to SF2. 3) Run installation and then grab cockpit, F-104G_Cockpit.ini, and F-104G_Avionics.ini from F-104G folder and erase the rest of folder and files. 4) moved them into SF2 CF-104s and F-104Gs and updated their .ini to adapt these cockpits. 5) Installed Batman78's excellent hi-res F-104G cockpit textures from this link: http://combatace.com/files/file/1707-f-104g-high-resolution-cockpit/ 6) Ran SF2 and ran into serious problems. I also removed modded SF2 folder and tested a fresh SF2 after complete refresh re installation, and yet still same problems, even without mods folders. Chaoic out...
  6. Hello everyone, I have spend a long time trying to find a way to make Strike Fighter 2 running windowed. so i am wondering if anyone know how to make SF2 running windowed? And I also have all merged and expansion packs for SF2, with latest patch for expansion pack 2. Any advices on how to enable SF2 running windowed will be much appreciated. Cheers! Eagle out...
  7. I forgot to add, I installed cockpits and other files from this link http://combatace.com/topic/57393-flyable-f-104s-for-sf2/ for CF-104s and F-104s. However, I highly doubt that this is causes of it. I ran through device manager to see if there is any hardware failure, but yet it tells me that every hardware is working properly. I also ran cclean to wipe any temporarily files in window and yet still same problems. I am stumped by this problem now, and I am wondering if anyone had same problems before. Chaoic out..
  8. That method doesn't change SF2 from full screen to windowed model. I also turned that files into 'read only' after changing these lines in strikefighter2.ini: [Window] WindowMode=TRUE WindowPosX=0 WindowPosY=0 WindowWidth=1680 WindowHeight=1050 Chaoic out...
  9. a moment

Sparkomatic!!! It is damn great to see you again, I am not sure if you remember me, I am from Column5 when we all had great and blast time over there. I was one that asked you alot questions bout beautiful Japanese ladies. Welcome back to SF2 community! Chaoic out...
  10. First at all, I want to thank FalcCAF very much for having me doing this, if it wasn't for him, I would have not discovered the great potential of SF2 being orbit sim. I was told by him that there is a nice view if I go at least 30,000 ft high or higher for an interesting changes in an atmosphere view. So I have decided to take one of special aircraft for a spin, which is F/A-37 Talon, to test the changes of atmosphere in SF2 engine and then I took her up to over 100,000 ft high, oh boy, it was big surprise for me. The view were breathtaking and I showed this to FalcCAF, he was very surprised by this too. However a warning for any of you simmers, do NOT try to go over 120,000 ft high because that is where flight model stops working because SF2 is not made for purely orbit flight of course not, but again, like I said, SF2 have a great potential for purely orbit sim as an add-on to SF2 engine if Tk ever have decided to expanded flight model into pure orbit mode. Enjoy these beautiful screenshots and I am looking forward to see all debates about SF2 having an expanded flight model to orbit for an additional different experiences in SF2. Like for example, possibly 'future air warfare' where combat would take place in orbit in SF2? Chaoic out...
  11. StreakEagle, Thank you for the replies, and about Orbiter, the last time I flew these sim few years ago, is lacking in standard 'candy eye' graphic. One of several reasons why I find SF2 quite immerse is due to impressive 'candy eye' graphic which gives me more 'convincing' experiences after flying many sims since 1990s. However, thank you for telling me the information about SF2 being 'flat square map', but at least, we can always dream for now until Tk surprise us with something someday in future. Chaoic out...
  12. Amen to that, I am going to start backing up all of my SF2 stuff and thank you for the reminder. Chaoic out...
  13. Pirates capture French warship?

I can't find any other news article on this, this smell fishy to me. I would have to say this is likely to be fake article. Chaoic out...
  14. This aircraft look so interesting and I truly wish I am able to fly this but I dont have SF1 unfortunately anymore. So I am wondering if there will be SF2 version by any chance. However, your passion in buildnig these add-on aircraft are truly appericate and I can't wait to see screenshot on this aircraft. Chaoic out...
  15. Way to go Treo!

I have a great respect for this dog that have gone through great danger for the troops. My hat off to him and I also have a great respect for Sgt Heyhoe, who have developed a tight relationship with dog, especially developed a way to communicate with dog tightly through dangerous operation. This dog is very brave and this dog deserves many juicy steaks period. Chaoic out...
  16. Killerbee, There is no rush, take it easy and relax man... We are truly thankful for your great passion into this but you also should take a break when you feel like it and dont overstress yourself with your injure. 18. how is Column 5 doing?

Column5, It is damn good to see you again, I have truly missed our old 'tavern' place which is your C5 forum. Oh boy these were a great old day and I have wondered where the heck you are. I hope that everything works out well for you in your real life man. Chaoic out...
  19. All of your saved data of your pilots are located in where you install mods for SF2V, it is in saved folder where you see thirdwire folder. In that folder, you should see pilotData folder, that is what you are looking for. I hope everything works out well for you. Chaoic out...
  20. Yes I was in visual range, I even tried to locate my wingman that was flying right next to me by pressing y while I would use external view toward locked target to locate my wingman. That is when I realized button y wasn't working, I even pressed t to make sure it wasn't enemy either and my wingman wasn't even enemy. But the first time I couldn't lock on my wingman by pressing y, I was s**tting myself for a second thinking "Did SF2 really added a feature where enemy actually added an enemy spy that would fly as my wingman?!". Nah I am just messing with you about enemy spy features, but I would be really damned if TK ever added it as an Easter egg in SF2. Chaoic out...
  21. I will make sure I PM a big thank to EricJ for his hard work as well, no worries. Chaoic out...
  22. 331Killerbee, I am amazed by your skills because after I installed this weapon pack into my modded SF2 with add-on aircraft (updated for Feb. 2010 patch), I was getting all ready for any debugging with basic knowledge of .ini myself in case I counter any problems. When I flew F/A-18F and F-35C, I was amazed by the nice effects from weapons packs while there is zero problems with any effects, including chaff/flares. I had an incredible time through missions with the sweet ass weapons such as Aim-9X and Aim-120s, especially GBUs smart bombs. I am truly pleasured by this and I have a serious respect for your skills for putting each of weapons and effects are made by community of SF1 and SF2 series together, making it work flawlessly with SF2. I thank you for the patience with me and I am learning how to blend in and working with the community in better way. Chaoic out...
  23. Whew, this mean alot to me so I am glad to hear that we are all cool. And I promise you that if I ever run into any problems with any mods in case, I will do the research and at least, try to fix it myself before asking you or any modders questions if I can't seem to get it fixed right in case. Your epic mods are truly appericated and I am going to have a blast time with these weapon pack! Chaoic out...
  24. 331Killerbee, Thank you very much for this pack and did you get my PM? Chaoic out...
  25. Whoa, these 'old school' skin is what I love about late 40s to early 70s aircraft and this is looking truly great! In my opinion, late 40s to early 1970s aircraft with old school paint style is truly a 'hot rod' era for military aircraft of any kinds. Chaoic out...
