  2. There is an interesting discovery I made about the angle of camera of ARBS TV; You can edit the angle fo camera to accurately match the gun angle too, if that is hwat you desire. Here is codes from both DtmDragon / Nyghtfall cockpits of A-4Ms: See the code: For example, DTMDragon's A-4M (1978)'s data file for boresight and gun angle: And in cockpit.ini: And in the avionic.ini: And then if you set the camera CameraAngles=0.0,-1.5,0.0 Then it will match the gun firing angle besides using it for angle bombing attacks.   3. @Lex2Limit Hello Lex2Limit, I found the issues with inverted (up-side) TV cam when switching to ARBS TV. The issue is this code: If you set it more than 180, this may have caused TV to be upside. So I reduced it to 25.00000 and it is back to correct view. Now that is solved, I am able to have correct working ARBS TV for A-4M and A-4N series! Eagle114th
  4. @Lex2Limit That is true, I am attempting to fix it. Right now i am tryhing to fix the AA MODE HUD to ahve depressed gun (GunBoresightAngle=-1.5), it does not work It only work for AG mode (with CCIP for gun) I am currently working on A-4N Ayit series which also use A-4M cockpits. This is problem: When switching to gun for AA mode, when firing, it still shoots shells below the gun sight: However, when switching to AG mode for gun, it aligns with the sight: UPDATE: I DID IT! Got it fixed. What solves the problem is this code: Had to set -1.5 at the middle part (Y Y value) for depressed AA. What i laerned is, the value in GunBoresightAngle= and AimAngles in data and avionic file, then I msut edit ViewAngles to match that. Now I have proper alignment of the gun sight and gun for both AA and AG. Mission accomlpished! now I need to fix the inverted TV when switching to that via radar switching mode. Eagle114th

  6. @Lex2Limit Your modding projects is masterpiece! When I release the new version (beta) of SF - CAP, i would like to include your F-4Es into the pack for the next version of beta too!   8. Hello everyone! Real liofe have been keeping me busy for a while. Got back workong on the mod projects; Going through A-4s and revisiting them, I realizedf that I am missing A-4M. Reading from the fligh tmanuals and researching, it is very interesting information! A-4M originally started with radar and fixed gunsight like earlier variatns of A-4s: Please note, this fligh tmanual is from 1971, when A-4M began being in the service. However, in the later upgrades, the cockpit is changed with more advancved avionics, such as HUD while radar is removed. I am workong on both DTMDragon and Nyghtfall cockpits for both of their A-4Ms pack. It is unfortuante that there is no TV screen attached ot the cockpit, so unless there is A-4M cockpit mods, like DTMDragon and Nyghtfall, I am using the cockpits that they are using as the closest to the A-4M cockpit. By the way, the HUD have been tweaked and updated, along with the glass tilts (green-bluish shade), changed HUD color, and higher quality of optical sights. The TV texture have been chagned as well, while using the updated TV from the projects on F-4 Phantom II series. Flowing A-4 Skyhawk series proejcts are almost completed, will go thorugh F-8s, F-89s, F-102, and F-106 next. WHen all aircraft receives the updates with up to date HUD / Replacing old system withi new systems for accessiblity/ other avionics parts, then SF - CAP will finally move on from Alpha to Beta version! I am happy with the new sytem so far, will use it for rest of next many more aircraft to work on. UPDATE: I forgot to add, the A_4s seriers now include the updated .ini files from great mods of Wrench / Nyghtfalls / Crusade r for all TW A-4s. I am currenlty working on Israel A-4s based onthe mod packs by DTMDragon. This mod pack includes the updated avionics files for both TW and modder's mod packs. Eagle114th
  9. Hello everyone! The F-4 are almost completed! In meanwhile, I am revisiting the A-4 series and the Israel's A-4E (1973) and A-4H (1973) are being further improved with the HUD, based on excellent work of DTMDragon. the gun sight are also polished in higher resolution.   10. Good morning Lex2Limit, That is noted and no worries. We all have our own preferences in various era. At least,we love F-4s Phantom II! I am very glad that I work on F-4s avionics as you and our modders do, it opened me into the world of F-4s that I did not know about. For example, how Jappanese F-4EJ KAI, Western Germany F-4F (ICE), Israel F-4E 2000, and othe F-4s evolving from F-4E in different ways with upgrades. It is vey interesting leaning days. By the way, thank you for sharing the videso that takes you years to find. I am continuing to seek for what I seek for and hope ot find them someday. Cheers!

I would like to request if you have the information on the following aircraft: A-4s optical sight, F-89H / J optical sight, F-89J radar scope, F-102 and F-106 optical sight and radar (video), and finaly Mark 11 Mod 2 gunsight used by F-8C. they are so difficult to find, so I am hoping you might have the clues on them.   12. Hello everyone, Along with excellent works shown by Lex2Limit, I wouldlike to show the owrks I have been doing on F-4F (ICE). What I learend is that F-4F (ICE) uses AN/APG-65, which is also used by F/A-18A I believe. I do not have the information on what the radar scope looks like, so I base it on the F/A-18A for now. (NOTE: F-4F ICE does not have HUD, instead they still use AN/ASG-26 LCOSS from earlier F-4F series. The cockpit is based o nthe great work of Ravenclaw_007: Eagle114th

  15. Hello everyone, I am currenlty re-woorking on the accessiblity after learning about GunsightMissileAcqName= and GunsightMissileLockName= (THANK YOU Lex2Limit!). I LOVE the result because it s what allows me to experience the challenges of early AAMs, as hearing people do. For example, by using HUD_SRM< it feels off because it's like using momdenr HHUD in early 50s to 70s before HUD comes into exists. It was the only thing I figured as the solution to the accesssiblity issues. Now with the visual firing cues, by using symbols that would appear when missie is acquring and lock on target while being careful not to lock on wrong targets. It was thrilling experiences! Here is an example with F-4B and optional new accessiblity feature: this design is simliar to what was used on F-4D early LCOSS: AAM acquiring target (to simulate IRM growling visually) IRM ahving a lock (IRM growling louder) At th same time, with excellent feedback from Menrva and our fellow modders, I am re-workinog on the color hues of the HUD glass. It is true that the HUD glass used by F-4 AUP, F-4EJ, F-4E 2020, and other aircraft with HUD have sorta green / blue hue. By experimentin gwith the balance between green / blue and darkenss of the texture and alpha setting, I am able to find the best balance so far: I am in progress going through all F-4s for optional accessiblity feature upgrades while double checking the radar, optical sight, HUD, and other avoinics for any issues. I will be updating another aircraft as well before releasing the next version of SF2 - CAP. Cheers!

It is true that there are pro and cons to the avionics60 and 70 dlls, I wish that TK would have built one avionic file that contains all types of avionic dlls together.   18. @Lex2Limit Your mods for F-4D early LCOSS is incredible! I wished I Knew about these codes earlier for acccessiblit! GunsightMissileAcqName= GunsightMissileLockName= It works perfectly! Here is screenshots: Missile not yet locked (empty square shape lower right of optical sight) Missile lock on target: At least I learn it fromm you and will remember it from now on. F-4D (1966 and 1967) will use this optical sight which is now completed! By the way, I have a question, did F-4S and F-4J (UK)'s SOS (Served Optical Sight) have mmissile seeking / lock cue around optical sight, like this optical sight too? Eagle114th

  20. Hello everyone! It have been quite enjoying weekend working on an Israel's Kurnass and Kuranss 2000 avionics projects. The work is based on the excelelnt DTMDragon and TMF's Kuranss pack. Here is screenshot of Kuranss series from 1969 to 1975. And 1978 version of Kurnass with different RWR: While researching on Kurnass 2000, what I learned is that Kurnass 2000 ues AN/APG-67, with RWR that looks like AN/ALR-45, which is alsol used in Kurnass (1978), and kaiser El-OP 976 wide-angle HUD. What I found even mor interesting is that kaiser El-OP 976 wide-angle HUD is also used in Turkish's F-4E 2020 Terminator. It is quite challengign to find the clear pictures of HUD, the berst one I can find: And here is picture of front seat of Kuranss 2000: Back seat of Kurnass 2000: What i noticed is that the front seat doeds not have MDF, rather it uses radar scope simliar to F-4EJ KAI. As stated, based onthe excellent work of both TMF and DTMDragon Kuranss pack, by using TMF's cockpit with codes of DTMDragon, and the new color for HUD (based on F-4E 2020 Terminator), and new texture for radar and RWR, plus modified tilt color for HUD glass: NOTE: I do not have detailed information on the radar display / sy mbols use din AN/APG-67, so I go with could be closest to. I am using great work of both TMF and DTMDragon's radar in 1024 x 1024 resolution, with the radar background color according to the picture. TW style Due to missing information on kaiser El-OP 976 wide-angle HUD, I did a little changes to the HUD, with new texture for optical sight. If anyonoe have more information on kaiser El-OP 976 wide-angle HUD, I would like to request for it please. Thank you!   21. Hello everyone, The improved Sserved Optical Sight (SOS) for F-4J (UK) and F_4S are now looking better with an additional HUD symbols (TD_RADAR). To solve the duplicated crosshair symbol, I made thin lines version of crosshai, to avoid the confusion. Please note, according to the flight manual of F-4J (UK), the crosshair symbol are used not only for gunnery, it is also used for stering cue, lockig on aircraft visualy, and other functions, which is interesting! Visual lock on target when using IRM: Gun mode with computing leading functions: I like the cockpit , which is closest to the actual F-4S cockpit, even thoguh the radar is in a bit different position. I will be using this cockpit chosen for F-4J (UK) as F-4S cockpit too. I hope someday, somene can make the proper cockpit for F-4S and F-4J (UK). Eagle114th
  22. Hello everyone, It have been quite busy weekend and finally got a chacne to work on UK's Phantom FG.1 (F-4K) and Phantom FGR.2 (F-4M). According to the flight manual and researching, and as I stated before, please always feel free to correct me if I get any information incorrect. I sometime may have read the information incorrectly by mistakes. However, based on the information; Phantom FG.1 and FGR.2 uses AN/APG-60, whicvh is modified / simpdified version of USAF F-4C's AN/APG-100. Therefore, by using an existing AN/APG-100 to modified the texture into AN/APG-60, then used excelelnt work of DTMDragons' RWR known as Marconi ARI 18228 RWR for1970s onward version of both Phantom FG.1 and FGR.2. However, from what I learned that it seems that both Phantom FG.1 and FGR.2 uses the LCOSS that is used by F-4D known as AnASG-22 LCOSS and please note, the early Phantom FG.1 before 1970s, i believe udses the modified A-1 which is used by F-4C and F-4B / J / N. Phantom FG.1 (F-4K) Phantom FGR.2 (F-4M) Here is screenshot of Phantom FG.1 (EARLY) Alternative version with TW style radar and optional TW style RWR: Phantom FG.1 (1970s and onward) with AN/ASG-22 LCOSS Phantom FGR.2 Currently workong on F-4S and F-4J (UK) and further experimenitn with Served Optical sight (SOS) to implement more features after learning more about HUD from F-4EJ KAI Phantom II projects.   23. Hello everyone! The TMF's F-4EJ KAI (with new overhaul) is also implemented in Ravenclaw_007's F-4EJ KAI mods. Ther are multi folders for F-4 new cockpit / avionics overhauls: Ravenclaw_007's F-4s, TMF F-4s, and Thhirdwire (With Lex2Limit and other modder's TW tweaks along with my works). here is TW style radar and imnproved HUD, along with improved gunisght for F-4EJ KAI. Please note, I am unable to find information onthe gunsight used by F-4EJ KAI, tihs is an educated guess that makes some senses. If anyone have the information on the gun sights used by F-4EEJ KAI, pleasee send it to me or post it here. I will happily update F-4EJ KAI with new gunsights. The UK's F-4K / M / J (UK) are being worked on. I look forward to it. And I aim to work on Israel's F-4Es after that. There are a lot of researches to do. Eagle114th
  24. Hello everyone! It have been quite challlenging journey workong on F-4EJ KAI, the information on HUD and radar reminds mostly mysterious. At least what I learned is that F-4EJ KAI Phantom II uses AN/APG-66J radar with radar scope wihch only display radar like earlier F-4EJ but with more information I believe. At the same time, the HUD is quite tricky and there is limited data on it. I Hope to find more informaton on HUD and radar someday. For now, this images is what I use to base on while using the TMF's F-4EJ KAI HUD as template to work on HUD and radar. Here is image: (Thank you Ravenclaw_007 for excellent information!) F-4EJ KAI (WIP) NAV MODE Air to Air mode Air to Ground mode I want note that the angle of attack bar and arrival time to waypoint is what I am stuck with. I do not know how to add both of these, I am currently looking through various SF2 mods for hints. For now, in place of AOA indicator bar, I am uisng number, which is below Gs number on lower left part of HUD. And the roll indicator is also fixed, you can see it on bottom part of HHUD, which is limted to 45 degree left to right. I would like to request for the feedback and assistant on the HUD.
