I'm sorry, i didn't mean to be impolite nor presume you wouldn't have read. Yes i meant the old ODS mod I got a question: if playing your mod, i choose for example January 1991, may i also get dates like before the actual operation which started the 17th? Thanks and forgive me again
-
don't worry for bad info, no problem at all btw yeah the mission is the same every single time, but the months and days are correct if edit them, so it's not a great problem maybe is not like choosing month and day from random single mission, but it doesn't matter, it's still amazing :D
-
So technically once i go into single mission i just choose it in "load mission"? But if i do this way the "random" factor of enemies, objectives etc vanishes right?
-
i know, but i wanted to personally choose the months, since the date i get is random (like august/october/march) so i wanted to set the sorties between 16th of January 1991 and 28th of February 1991 (when the war actually was)
-
so like 01/17/91 as start year and 02/28/91 as end year? does it work? will the file reset as soon as i start the game?
-
You mean in Start Year or End Year? Or where? Btw i already tried January 1991 and 01/17/1991 Even if i edit the Options.ini and save it, it resets to default settings as soon as i boot up the game

Hi everyone, I need help to change the date in "single mission" in the amazing ODS (Operation Desert Storm) mod for SF2 It lets me choose between years 1990-1991-1992 As soon as i end a mission and, for example, i get a medal or an award, it ofc says the date the sortie has been done... The problem is: since i can only choose the year, and not the month in mission menu, the date is randomically chose (for example i very often get months like august or december, even if the war had been fought only between the second half of January and February 1991, not any other month) How can i choose the month and day i want to fly for a single mission? So that i can choose the actual days the war happened instead of random 1991 months? I hope i explained well and that a solution can be found. I already tried changing Start Year and End Year date with January 1991 and February 1991, but nothing happened I truly love this mod, and imho it's absolutely perfect, but this is the only thing that "ruins" a bit (like getting a medal which says i flew over Iran on April 1991) and i'd like to fix it but idk how Thank you so much for helping me, seriously

But where do i find the mod folder? I have Win10 and i can't find "saved games" or directories like that -
Maybe that's because i install all five games in separate directories? Should i install them all in one?

OH I THINK I GOT IT NOW So all those files (options, including controls, for example) cannot be find as soon as i install the game, I need to create a Mod folder, only then those files will show, correct? -

I run Win10 Home 64 bit and i cannot find any of those directories anywhere For example i can't find the controls files in the game directory -
What you mean i'm confusing I don't have the content of NA or Europe into my base game, i need to switch to them if i wanna fly the Tomcat or the Eagle for example Only my base game controls mappings "work" properly

Where do i find that file? I cannot find it anywhere! And even if i unistall and reinstall the game, it still gives me unassigned to all -
I just found out that the only game where these "key bugs" do not happen is the vanilla SF2, where all keys are assigned and if i press an already used key to another command, the key sets and the one before unassigns, instead of "double setting" the same key for two different commands. These things apparently do not happen to me just in the base game... is there any way i can copy the controls files from base game directory to Europe and North Atlantic? Would it work or they'll still be bugged (like in NA) and unassigned (like in Europe)? Thank you very much :)

After a crash, my Strike Fighters 2 Europe keys appear all set as unassigned. There's no way i can set 'em. Even if i bind them, they still be unassigned. I EVEN TRIED REINSTALLING THE GAME, and they are STILL all unassigned... I seriously have no idea of what to do, since this happened only in Europe and not in vanilla game or North Atlantic. There's also another problem: keys look "bugged" in SF2 NA, since i binded all of them, but some still don't work. As these won't be enough, they're bugged also because if i set a key for a specified control, and then i try to unassign it re-pressing the same key on another command, instead of unassigning the first command, it glitches and i can set two or more commands with the same key... this clearly bugged out Could you please help and tell me what can i do to "unbug" all of this mess? Thank you a lot guys, i appreciate your help so much

OH MY GOD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE! I thought i was the unluckiest person in the entire universe since i was the only one having this apparently "mysterious" issue. Ok so maybe i'll try installing it into SSD, otherwise i have no idea what to do, since i got a laptop and i can't upgrade it... Let's hope for the best! In case it doesn't work, it seems i'll have to fly without any kind of radio chatter or communications, since the problem solves to me as soon as i delete all "speech files" from game directory (at least it worked in SFP1, i haven't already tried it in SF2)
