Yesterday, flying in April 1917 with Jasta 11, I got my 10 kills confirmed. I've been promoted to Feldfebel and awarded with TWO Iron Crosses!

Apparently, this is not historically correct, for as I know, it was possible to be decorated with one Iron Cross only! Is that a glitch or a flaw of the OFF3 awards system?

There are issues with the awards system which the devs are well aware of and it is being fixed (i.e. completely overhauled and re-contextualised) for a future release. I've seen a couple of preview shots and it looks fabulous.

Sweet. Now all I gotta do is stay alive long enough to earn an award.

Ha Ha Ha! Maybe it'l help if we sing the Beegee's 'Stayin Alive'

Ah Ah Ah Ah Stayin aliii-aiiive (As the AI are swarming down after us) ...erm ...ah ...sorry :blush2:

wow, very impressive!!!

first i thought there is a mistake because the letter says könig instead of kaiser, but then i saw the awards are from different monarchs of germany. very cool. may i ask how many awards there will be for each country?

Well lets say... enough for all countries and kingdoms and duchys :)

Outstanding! Tops the work in progress I saw before, and I thought that was brilliant.

Absolutely beautiful, Paarma.

Im already suprised and little bit frightened about how sharp you guys are. But yes the documents are based to authentic papers.

Some autographs are authentic...

even with autograph of "chef" thomsen. very impressive :good:

This looks really wonderful. Will really deepen the immersion factor and put the campaign on par (probably better than) RB3D.

Will there be translations for those of us who aren't bilingual?

Of course we are "sharp", Paarma - we only live 17 hours (or even less).

So we would like to get these awards BEFORE we die.

They look wonderful - we should get Winder to hand them out BEFORE Phase 4.

Well there probably going to be info text of medals in english. But keeping still the authentic look...

Why not make the French award text in French, the English in English and the German in German?

As it was historically?

Perhaps with a smaller type subtext saying what it is, in English?

I'm reading 'Hawker VC' at the moment (having finally acquired a replacement copy) and there's a passage in there mentions Lanoe laughing at the inconguity of his DSO in its silk-lined case vs. his VC 'rattling around in its cardboard box'... into which, incidentally, Lanoe tucked a white feather that some dozy woman had given him when he was home on leave (after winning the VC) and walking down the street in mufti!

So, don't expect any showy cases like those above if you win Britain's most coveted award.

That way it going to be.

Hey - does that work with those special letters? Does everyone in England and America

see those letters with dots upon, or do you get strange replacements?
