512x512 Tweaked Tiles for CA_Stary's Enhanced SF2:Israel terrain.
Originally created by CA_Stary, resized by Dave, optimised by me. Note: these *.bmp tiles are 512x512 in size with 8 bit color pallete.Includes TGA tiles from Dave's effort. This should help any of you with even very weak computers.Looks almost as good as Dave's resize but you get even bigger performance increase.
Installation:
Drop the bitmaps and TGA files in IsraelME folder and allow for overwrite.
Now go and down some pesky MIGs :)

********* Bombing Range For SF2 ********

This is an update to the original bombing range to make it compatible with the
SF2 series, and take advantage of some of the new features now available. It
also has terrain tiles redrawn at 1024x1024.
A QF-100D drone is included in this download. You'll see these flying around
the range, and parked at the simulated airfield. All weapons have been
removed, so they won't shoot at you.
Only hostile aircraft with a "NationName=RANGE" will show up on this terrain.
A modified version of the NATIONS.INI file has been included. It is the stock
file with the "RANGE" nation added. You need the "RANGE" nation defined if you
want the QF-100D's showing up.
Provided your other terrains have their "LimitedNations" setup, you won't see
the QF-100's anywhere except the Range.
A quick note, for the most part, this is still the original target layout.
Wrench and others have created target laydowns with a much wider array of
targets. These changes can be easily merged with this update.
Feel free to further modify this, but don't sell it, and please include the
credit list below.

This mod is full two-seasons (wet, dry) tileset and treemod created for Gepard's "Formosa Strait" terrain.

The tiles are 512x512 resolution to maintain good performance on older systems, but as they were downsampled from their 1024x1024 originals, maintain good quality.
This mod includes it's own, smoother terrain height data, but original rough version is also provided as an option.
Also includes new TFD file, which introduces "large empty fields" in western Taiwan.
Both smaller and bigger trees included, the latter as default for rich lush ground cover.
Includes optional tweak for experimental clear day fog.
East Africa/Madagascar Terrain, Version 2.0 for SF/Wo* and SF2
This is a complete rebuild of the terrain originaly released in June 2004. It has been extensively retiled, and has had a MAJOR upgrade in the targetization. It is designed to COMPLETELY replace that original version. It has been fully updated to use in the post-patch and SF2 worlds.
This is a COMPLETE package, with everything needed to just unzip, install, and fly over. All the tiles are included, including Stary's "Mad Trees Mod", creating a more 'lush' version. Many new TODs have been created, so you'll see lots of trees and small buildings in and around the cites.
Extensive upgrading has been performed on the targets, types, data and movement inis , to make use of 08 and SF2 level terrain effects, and the targeting enhancements. New planning maps of all 3 levels have been generated and included.
It is reccomended (read: REQUIRED) that you have Pasko's SAMs and Vehicles Pak installed in your GroundObject folder; either or both the Desert or Euro skinned vehicles, plus any additional vehicles such as Kesselbrut's ZIL truck pak, Infantry paks, Moonjumper's fix for the BM-14-16 (adds working Kytusha rockets) and any other SAMS or AAA, vehicles or whatever strikes your fancy.
It has been tested in all 1st Gen Sims (SF/WoV/WoE/ at 10/08 patch levels) and SF2 (merged).. It should work in FE & WoI (also post Expansion Pak and Post Patch) with the correct cat pointer -- this has NOT been tested, however. It should will work in SF2, as long as you adjust the cat pointer lines in the main ini, and 'reroute' the terrain effect pointer (more on that in the install instructions, below). However, with the old style terrain effects, it works just fine.
Yes, for those expecting it, there IS at least one Easter Egg on this terrain ...

This little modification replaces default rain effect with heavy thunder.
Random lightnings, heavy rain, distant clouds lighted by electrical discarges and raindrops on screen are modelled.
Unfortunately, no thunder/rain sound attached, as current environment engine seems not to allow to do so.

This modification contains full tileset of new satellite-based 1024x1024 textures, together with optional treemod and experimental (buggy engine?) heightmaps created to enhance the look of the default SF2:Israel terrain, IsraelME.
Designed for SF2:Israel by Thirdwire, either stand-alone or merged installation.
Made for and tested in SF2 merged, Nov. 2009-B and March 2010 patches.
"Wings Over Israel" compatibility not granted, but highly possible.
Remember, it's initial release, updates are highly possible in the future.
