SF2NA A-6E TRAM "Libyan Intruders"
By Wrench
SF2NA A-6E (TRAM) Intruder, VA-34,VA-55,VA-85 Early Lo-Viz Skin/Decals Pack 2/15/2018
= For SF2 (Any & All, Full-5 Merged Prefered) =
*Can be used in any install that has access to the A-6E_79 (aka: TRAM)*
3 new skins for the 3W A-6E_79 Intruder that depict the 3 squadrons that participated in the
"Freedom of Navigation" exercises in the Gulf of Sidra during 1986, and subsequent strikes
against various Libyan targets (El Dorado Canyon).
All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. All serial (BuAerNums) are correct as they
are for the A-6E, but should be considered Generic (tm) in nature, not representing specific
aircraft in any particular squadron. In fact, all 3 skins use them as a 'pool' of decals.
The Default Start Date switch is used on this skin, so in 1983, you should see only these. The
skin maps are new; The aircraft is finished in the 2-tone Compass Ghost Grey over Medium Grey
scheme, with subdued markings (black and light grey). The skins are in jpg format.
The aircraft are:
VA-34 Blue Blasters, USS AMERICA
VA-55 Warhorses, USS CORAL SEA
VA-85 Black Falcons, USS SARATOGA
As these are 'stock' squadrons in the 3rd Wire listing, Level=1 decals are used to activate the
squadron name display. This should make it easy for campaign builders to use them in user-made
campaigns or single missions (like on Menrva's new Libyan terrain).
Please note, =NOTHING= is included that makes the aircraft flyable; no inis, cockpit parts (I
use the Razbam payware pit on my A-6E & A-6E TRAMs). You should have made them flyable or need
to seek the "parts" on your own.
Also, if you have made it flyable, and use the "Read Only" trick on the main ini (A-6E_79.ini),
you'll have to un-read only it to add this skin.
While specificly designed for the A-6E_79, this mod =should= be compatible with the A-6 Intruder
MegaPack by Homefries; the skins use unique squadron named folders and should not conflict or
interfere with it (even though said squadrons also exist in his pack, as Level=1 statments,
selectable from the Squadron Dropdown on the Loadout screen). Please note the "1983" start date
is an arbitrary year, based on my research as a "best guess".
On the Loadout Screen, for skin selection you'll see:
VA-34 Blue Blasters (2-Tone 1983)
VA-55 Warhorses (2-Tone 1983)
VA-85 Black Falcons (2-Tone 1983)
As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read
them ....
Happy Landings!

SF2 A-6A Intruder, VA-42 & VA-128 Skin/Decals Pack
By Wrench
SF2 A-6A Intruder, VA-42 & VA-128 Skin/Decals Pack 2/12/2018
= For SF2 (Any & All, Full-5 Merged Prefered) =
*Can be used in any install that has access to the stock 3W A-6A*
2 new skins for the 3W A-6A Intruder that depict VA-42 "Green Pawns" and VA-128 "Golden Intruders". Be advised that these are =NOT= combat squadrons, but the Fleet Replacement Squadrons, responsible for training pilots and bombardier/navigators for all Intruder squadrons. VA-42 recieved the very first Intruder in June, 1963. VA-128 recieved theirs in September, 1967. These 2 squadron represent the East Coast (VA-42, NAS Oceana) and West Coast (VA-128, NAS Whidbey Island) training units.
All markings are decals (excepting squadron color flash on tail fins), almost all made new for this mod (excepting the Pawn on VA-42, reused and modified from the original), and decal randomization is TRUE*.
All serial (BuAerNums) are 100% historical for the A-6A, but should be considered "generic" as they do not depict actual aircraft from this unit. BuNum decalss are the same ones as supplied with another recent upload. Just allow the "Overwrite?" when asked during installing.
The aircraft is finished in the standard Grey/White scheme, with full color markings. The skin is in stock jpg format.
On the Loadout Screen, for skin selection you'll see:
VA-42 Green Pawns (FRS-ATL)
VA-128 Golden Intruders (FRS-PAC)
Please note, =NOTHING= is included that makes the aircraft flyable; no inis, cockpit parts, nothing . You should have made it flyable already or need to seek the "parts" on your own. Also, if you have made it flyable, and use the "Read Only" trick on the main ini (A-6A.ini) to stop reversion to AI-only, you'll have to un-read only it to add this skin.
As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them ....

SF2 A-6A Intruder, VA-95 Skin/Decals Pack

SF2 A-6A Intruder, VA-95 Skin/Decals Pack 2/6/2018
= For SF2 (Any & All, Full-5 Merged Prefered) =
*Can be used in any install that has access to the A-6A*
A new skin for the 3W A-6A Intruder that depicts VA-95 "Green Lizards" during 1974-74 embarked aboard USS CORAL SEA during the Vietnam War.
Almost all markings are decals (excepting squadron color flash on tail fin), most made new for this mod, and decal randomization is TRUE*. All serial (BuAerNums) are 100% historical for the A-6A, but should be considered "generic" as they do not depict actual aircraft from this unit. Also, this is the very first CAG skin I've ever done (so be kind).
The aircraft is finished in the standard Grey/White scheme, with full color markings. The skin is in stock jpg format.
On the Loadout Screen, for skin selection you'll see:
VA-95 Green Lizards (73-74)
As the Green Lizards are also a stock squadron, using this skin for campaigns should be a fairly easy edit.
Please note, =NOTHING= is included that makes the aircraft flyable; no inis, cockpit parts, nothing . You should have made it flyable already or need to seek the "parts" on your own. Also, if you have made it flyable, and use the "Read Only" trick on the main ini (A-6A.ini), you'll have to un-read only it to add this skin.

SF2 A-6E Intruder, VA-196 Skin/Decals Pack
By Wrench
SF2 A-6E Intruder, VA-196 Skin/Decals Pack 2/1/2018
= For SF2 (Any & All, Full-5 Merged Preferred) =
*Can be used in any install that has access to the A-6E*
A new skin for the 3W A-6E Intruder that depicts VA-196 "Main Battery" during 1980 when embarked aboard USS CORAL SEA (also possibly at Gonzo Station, but I haven't confirmed this).
Almost all markings are decals, most made new for this mod, and decal randomization is TRUE. All serial (BuAerNums) are 100% historical in nature. Unfortunately, I could not match all to their Modex number. On the Number display dropdown, those marked with a star (*) are correctly matched. But all are aircraft that served in VA-196 at one time or another. The Default Start Date switch isused on this skin, so in 1980, you should see only this one. The aircraft is finished in the standard Grey/White scheme, with full color markings. The skin is in jpg format.
On the Loadout Screen, for skin selection you'll see:
VA-196 Main Battery (1980)
Please note, NOTHING is included that makes the aircraft flyable; no inis, cockpit parts (I use the Razbam payware pit on my A-6E & A-6E TRAMs). You should have made them flyable or need to seek the "parts" on your own. Also, if you have made it flyable, and use the "Read Only" trick on the main ini (A-6E.ini), you'll have to un-read only it to add this skin.

SF2NA A-6E TRAM VA-176 Skin/Decal Pak
By Wrench
SF2NA A-6E TRAM VA-176 Skin/Decal Pak 1/24/2018
= For SF2NA (Full-5 Merged Prefered) =
* Designed for SF2:NA, but can be used in any install (full 5 merged) that has access to the A-6E TRAM Intruder (aka: A-6E_79) *
This package contains 1 new skin in lo-viz TPS for the A-6E TRAM Intruder, that comes with SF2:NA. This package represents:
VA-176 "Thunderbolts" embarked aboard USS INDEPENDENCE with the 6th Fleet (Med)
The skin maps are in jpg format. Decal randomization has been set to "TRUE". 25 new Modex and serial numbers (BuNums) have been created for this mod. BuNums, while correct for the A-6E, should be considered 'generic' in nature, as they do not represent any specific aircraft within any given squadron. All markings are decals. However, it should be noted nothing to make this AI plane flyable is included. Other mods provide the necessary instructions and "parts".
As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them ....

3W A-6E TRAM Upgrade Kit
By Wrench
A-6E TRAM (aka "A-6E_79) Skin/Ini UPgrade Pak
= For SF2, Full-5 Merged Required; and/or SF2:NA -ONLY!!- =
Again, as stated above this is for the stock 3rdWire A-6E_79 ONLY!! If you do not possess SF2NA, DO NOT download this mod, as you will NOT be able to use it.
Some adjustments, tweeks and General Fiddling With for the new SF2NA A-6E TRAM. The package includes a new skin, in Lo-Viz Gray for VA-75 "Sunday Punchers", circa 1990s
Several inis are included (data, loadout, avionics, main ini*), but NO COCKPT or cockpit ini is included -- you must locate and install these yourselves! The data and loadout inis have been adjusted to include LGB capabilities, a built in laser designator. Wingfold and canopy operation are controled via manual animation keys. Wingfold uses the Shift/9 and the canopy the Shift/0 keystrokes.
I've included a main ini, with the cockpit line left blank, so you can insert whichever cockpit ini name you're using. Weapons (in particular the Navy GBU-10D_N is NOT supplied. It comes from the GunnyPak, so having that would be good idea....)
New Hangar & Loading screen are included, as is a new loadout.tga for use on the Loadout Screen. The Loading Screen is actually a jpg conversion of the original 1stGEn bmp for the old TRAM.
The new skin was created from a "Home Grown Templates" , with many new decals. Others are stock items. Decal randomization is set to TRUE. The skin is "clean", as all markings are decals, making it a simple matter to create other squadron users. (the mid-fueslage slimer is part of the skin map)
A "StartDefaultDate=" line was NOT added, as doing so would limit you to ONLY this one skin (locking out the Gull Gray/White skins). As more Lo-Viz skins are created, it's reccomended that the actual transistion to Lo-Viz year be discovered, and added to this and any subsuquent new skins. A simple text edit of the textureset ini and adding said line to this skin's listing the A-6E_79.ini.
On the Numbers.lst, those Modex marked with a star (*) have their actual BuNums when assigned to this squadron. The others, rest assured, ARE real A-6E BuNums.
The templates will be uploaded seperately to the SF2/Tools & Utililties section in the Combat Ace Downloads.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them! In fact, it's reccomened (read: REQUIRED!!, you read this document through before installing to you Mods Folder)
The Notes section contains further details, descriptions, elightenments, illuminations, and so forth. Be good to read them, too.
Happy Landings!

SF2NA A-6E TRAM (aka "A-6E_79") Skin Pak 1
By Wrench
A-6E TRAM (aka "A-6E_79) Skin Pak 1
= For SF2, Full-5 Merged Required; and/or SF2:NA -ONLY!!- =
Again, as stated above this is for the stock 3rdWire A-6E_79 ONLY!! If you do not possess SF2NA, DO NOT download this mod, as you will =NOT= be able to use it.
The skin pak is designed to be used with my A-6E_79 Upgrade/Fixit/WhatHaveYou Pak, located here at CA at the following URL:
http://combatace.com/files/file/12760-3w-a-6e-tram-upgrade-kit/
The shins herein are conversions from the 1stGen A-6E Tram by MontyCZ. I'm really not sure who created the original skins/decals, but suspect it may have been Paul Nortness. The Lo-Viz skins are new creations, from the TRAM template I created a few weeks back, and the stock 3W Gray/White skin is used for VA-128, so =ONLY= the decals are being reused.
The skins in this pak are:
=Standard GullGray/White:
VA-128 "Golden Intruders"
=In Lo-Viz:
VA-42 "Green Pawns" (called VA42lo)
VA-52 "Knight Riders" (called VA52lo)
VMA-533 "Hawks" (called VMA533lo) as seen during Desert Shield/Storm when based in Bharain.
There is no "StartDefaultDate=" line for the Lo-Viz skins, as yet. When more have been created/converted, then it's suggested to add that line to the textureset inis with the date of 1985. That's a fair apporximation of the transition. For now, you'll just have to
select them from the drop down on the loadout screen.
Some of the decals have been modified from their original form to give a better 'fit' on the 3rd Wire model. To that end, some will notice the checks on the rudder for the Hawks is a seperate decal, whereas it was a single piece before. For the "Knight Riders", I've tried as best as possible to get the notch on the knight's helmet to line up with the position light (same as in Real Life; the light represented the Knight's eye).
Decal Randomization is set to TRUE, but be advised of some oddities; these may be caused by the lack of a full squadron's numbers (TK has always reccomended a minimum of 18) or something odd induced by NA or 3/2012 patch. I personally suspect it's the lack of numbers.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them before installing!
Happy Landings, and Good Hunting!

EA-6B Century of Naval Aviation Skin
By EricJ
This is a VAQ-129 skin of the EA-6B.
DISCLAIMER:
The skin is not exact due to mainly texture mapping limitations of the SF2:NA Prowler, particularly around the intake area and nose area. I want to thank Wrench and HomeFries for supplying me with the necessary templates in order for me to make this happen.
That said, the skin is only for the TW Prowler, which comes with SF2:NA. Just drop the folder in the appropriate directory and it can be selected as "CoNA" for the AI if so configured. If you are using the EA-6B Super Pack by HomeFries then it would go in the EA-8B_98 folder (ICAP III) but can be used in any of the versions in that pack.
