This is "expansion pack" for "Strike Fighters 2: North Atlantic" (SF2NA) adds new aircraft, ground objects, guns, weapons, and effects to standard installs of SF2NA. It also supplies an upgraded version of the IcelandNA terrain, an expanded version of the default "Northern Sabre" campaign, as well as five additional campaigns set in various years from 1969 to 1986.


There are x2 new RED Campaigns (Playable with Soviet, China, USN, USAF,  FrenchNavy, RoyalNavy, RAF... )


1. Northern Sabre (2031)  - [Iceland theater]

2. Battle for Kuril islands (2031) - [Far East theater]

This mod came with upgraded SAM systems (Ground Objects) and ability to actively play with some SAM systems.


To use this mod, you must have SF2NA installed in a merged install that also includes "Strike Fighters 2" (SF2), "Strike Fighters 2: Europe" (SF2E), and "Strike Fighters 2: Vietnam" (SF2V).

Note that this is a COMPLETE mod package and should be installed to its own dedicated Mod Folder.


This download (because of size restrictions) have not included decals  and have lower count of available Aircraft.
(Originally Campaign enable up to 208 playable aircraft)

What is new:

New original "Hangar" images  (with all info about certain Aircraft) which will make Strike Fighters 2 RED EDITION 

of some type of  "AIRCRAFT ENCYCLOPEDIA"  !

Where Player can read and learn Specifications about certain type of aircraft and enjoy all that experience !

from authors like Yefim Gordon, Sergei & Dmitri Kommisarov, Vladimir Rigmant and many others !

i had a plan to make, that all missiles have:

 Name +  inscribed Range and type of Guidance (as description), so it will be easier for player to use the potential of missile in combination with chosen Radar mode & Range.

 

example:

AIM-120D1 (160km Range ARH)

MICA NG (150Km Range ARH)

Meteor BVRAAM (200Km Range ARH)

R-37M Arrow (400Km Range Hypersonic ARH) ARH - Active Radar Homing

R-77M (193Km Range ARH)

R-27EA (130km Range - ARH  9B-1103K active seeker)

R-27EM (170km Range - ARH  9B-1103K active seeker)

etc.

 

Many New Stand-off Air-to-Ground missiles are there so you can test them and place the best one in your LOADOUT.


like:

Kh-35E "Kayak" ASM (300Km Range)

Kh-69 (400Km range Stealth Cruise missile)

Kh-38ML Laser Guided Missile (40Km Range)

Kh-59MKV "Ovod" [TV & GLONASS guidance] (290Km Range)

Kh-102 (Izdeliye 111) ASM NUCLEAR-GLONASS & TV terminal guidance

etc.

 

For the moment i uploaded this version where most Important weapons have that very useful "Description" 

other less important weapons need to wait for Update.

In all honesty... I am not impressed...
I find the overall quality lacking and content has been altered on an amateur level (like why adding ugly texts to skins).
I do NOT recommend...

The controls in this mod are unresponsive and even the keyboard will not work once your in the cockpit. You may want to check your UI or something because the joystick does not work at all and you cannot even create a pilot because this mod disables the keyboard and the joystick I have no problems in any other campaign on this website so something is wrong here.

This mod is based on SF2NA ExpPack

When SF2NA came out TK messed up the controls.ini file so it doesn't match what the in-game controls show.

He released a fix but it not works for all Joysticks.

So on this page (Link below) you have explanation what to do  by user "iahn755" he explained all:

 

 

You need manually to edit - to place a name of your controller in "Controls".ini

 

this usually fix the problem
