This is "expansion pack" for "Strike Fighters 2: North Atlantic" (SF2NA) adds new aircraft, ground objects, guns, weapons, and effects to standard installs of SF2NA. It also supplies an upgraded version of the IcelandNA terrain (expanded version of the default "Northern Sabre" campaign)


There are (x4) new RED Campaigns  (Playable with Soviet, China, USN, USAF,  FrenchNavy, RoyalNavy, RAF... )

To use this mod, you must have SF2NA installed in a merged install that also includes "Strike Fighters 2" (SF2), "Strike Fighters 2: Europe" (SF2E), and "Strike Fighters 2: Vietnam" (SF2V).

Note that this is a COMPLETE mod package and should be installed to its own dedicated Mod Folder.


This Download (because of size restrictions) have not included decals  and have lower count of available Aircraft.
(Originally Campaign enable up to 210 playable aircraft) 

( in 1.0.2. version there are 132 available Aircraft in Gameplay )

What is new:

New original "Hangar" images  (with all info about certain Aircraft) which will make Strike Fighters 2 RED EDITION 

of some type of  "AIRCRAFT ENCYCLOPEDIA

Where Player can read and learn Specifications about certain type of aircraft and enjoy all that experience !

Some of missiles have very useful "Description" :

 Name +  inscribed Range and type of Guidance (as description), so it will be easier for player to use the potential of missile in combination with chosen Radar mode & Range.

Meteor BVRAAM (200Km Range ARH)

R-37M Arrow (400Km Range Hypersonic ARH) ARH - Active Radar Homing

R-77M (193Km Range ARH)

R-27EM (170km Range - ARH  9B-1103K active seeker)

etc.

 

Many New Stand-off Air-to-Ground missiles are there, so you can test them and place the best one in your LOADOUT.

SOLUTION:

This mod is based on SF2NA ExpPack

When SF2NA came out TK messed up the controls.ini file so it doesn't match what the in-game controls show.

He released a fix but it not works for all Joysticks.

In all honesty... I am not impressed...
I find the overall quality lacking and content has been altered on an amateur level (like why adding ugly texts to skins).
I do NOT recommend...

The controls in this mod are unresponsive and even the keyboard will not work once your in the cockpit. You may want to check your UI or something because the joystick does not work at all and you cannot even create a pilot because this mod disables the keyboard and the joystick I have no problems in any other campaign on this website so something is wrong here.

Very good and throughly worked out package. I'm sure it needed many nights and days to compile it and it will improve as and when needed. Thanks to the modder for offering the pack

CUT      Okay never mind the previous comments, I should read the instructions carefully, they could be a little clearer. One thing that's weird, on the splash screen with the plane and the sun, I didn't see the menus on the left side till I accidentally scrolled over them with the mouse. Joystick doesn't show up of course but that should be an easy fix I hope. Replaced the controller folder with another one can fly and use guns but my missiles won't fire. I don't understand the radar ect, but I haven't played in a while.  Nice to see a russian mod where the plane doesn't get hit immediately after takeoff...That really is annoying in Desert Storm mod when you try to play the iraqi side..  Okay the missiles do fire. Everything is working. The instructions are all over the place but if you pay close attention with all the other things besides the read me. Could be better explained for newbies.    Thanks to the modders, I appreciate the work.   If I could figure out how to rate it again, I'd give it a 4 instead of the 3 I think I gave it.

Anyone who is hyping this is smoking some crack.   It simply does not work, disables controls. Tons of missing textures,no ability to create a pilot. I suggest the developer go back to the drawing board. Installed a 2nd time and its a total mess and unplayable. I appreciate the attempt but seriously, its a mess.

Easy fix. Just delete the default controls file in C/users/ your computer/saved games/thirdwire/Strikefighter2 RED EDITION/   Then cut and paste your controls file in it's place from one of your other mods or plain jane installaion you have them all setup in already. You'll have your joystick all set up. Only problem I've really found is the menu's don't show up at the flash screen with the plane and sun. Roll across the left side and they show up.

Okay  i take that back. your right the skins are pretty bad, and I only seem to have the primary target show up anywhere. I don't see other ground targets or air targets.  Needs work, lotsa bugs like with the Mig25, afterburner sound stays on longer than my throttle is up, I can go back to 0 and the afterburner stays on.   The navigation points don't show how far away.  And yeah you're right....With some planes the keyboard is suddenly broke. Can't even get brakes to release.  Gotta nose dive the mod to 2.  Needs a lot of work for all the bugs.
