If I want to make a mod for this long-ago game, is it still appropriate?

Now I am making a mod for Sea Power, and by coincidence, I learned that the game developers had made a mod for SF before. I want to give it a try. Maybe it will just be an interesting experience. Maybe I am too late now and I have missed the golden age of this game. But if I can, I hope I can learn something. I am also sorry for causing you some trouble.

It's never too late. SF is a great game, and the community is very helpful, and you don't need to be sorry.

No, it's too late now because I already created a new folder in UE5 to make SF3!

Of course, you can make whatever you want, at any time.

Sure! SF2 is still a great modding platform and once you look past it's engine and avionics limitations, continues to be a good fun! 

So have a go at it and enjoy the new hobby

2. i am trying to make a tank sim in UE5 for a class right now. only because i dont think i could get aircraft working by Nov 20th (the due date)

but i think it has possibilities. esp using Vigilante's models as a start....

What Eric said. but in the videos ive seen, theres plenty of air action as well. kind of like a mix of Harpoon (yup just told on myself) and DCS cinematics
