dukeicantturningham Posted October 25 Posted October 25 i find aerial reconnaissance, electronic warfare/surveillance, and the CSAR operations during Vietnam more interesting than the 'normal' stuff; Yes, always: Spooks, Thuds, and Gunfighters tangling with MiGs and SAMs over the Red River is infact awesome. Yeah, true: I like Huns, Scooters, and Tadpoles dropping iron and nape. Aardvarks low and fast, SLUFs with accurate and sometimes smart bombs is always epic.. Mhm, sure: BUFFs laying death on Vietcong and giving Hanoi Hannah 'christmas presents' is the best.. Heck Yes: Puff the Magic Dragon, Shadow/Stinger, and Spectre cannot be ignored. (honorable mention for the Shed Light/Pave Gat B-57s) And: COIN's always very cool. i love the Bronco, Bird Dog, and Skymaster. Plus FACs are forever one of the coolest things ever. (Fast FAC Huns who go by "Misty" especially tickle my fancy) but- Don't Sandies and the Jolly Greens deserve some love too? How about the Vigilantes picking bits of flak out of their wings after some low&fast BDA on some crispy critters in a jungle? Aren't the Warning Stars, Trackers, and EB-66s cool too? Phantom always comes phirst (in my heart), im just tiny bit partial to the RF-4 variants. i really love unarmed/unafraid flying cameraman+flying microwave stuff. it was an important component in the air war. is this a weird sentiment?

+yakarov79 Posted October 25 Posted October 25 knowing Nightshade - first of many... 6 hours ago, dukeicantturningham said: it was an important component in the air war. IT is the most important part of air war, which game developers always omit. Unfortunately. Apparently, "fighter ace" is more appealing to the wallet. As someone said, fighter pilots make movies; the rest make history. What I would give for a proper sim that covers CSAR. 2 1
+EricJ Posted October 25 Posted October 25 I admit some fascination and a little obsession with the Super Hornet in games, but I do a lot of regular troop/cargo lifting in Arma 3. I enjoy doing it and find it fulfilling to me to do, rather than attack helicopters. 1
