Jimbib Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Not a historical air battle per se, but for me it's anything and everything Top Gun / Red Flag / Constant Peg. However, current research/ reading covers Desert Storm, Falklands and Vietnam.
Baltika Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago WW2 Battle of Britain. Although, in fairness, I am probably biased as I wrote the campaign for SFP1, and have not (yet!) got around to updating it for SF2. But I had so much fun researching that theatre, and had so much support from the modding community here to make it a reality in the sim, that it will always have a special place in my heart. Sorry for the necro post, but here it is: For SF2, there are so many great historical mod packages it's hard to choose. Special shout out to the base game expansions led by eburger68, and all of the team. They greatly enhance the core sim. The Falklands Campaign by Dave and Kesselbrut will always have a place on my hard drive. Wings Over Korea is brilliant. But if I had to pick one, above all, for content, historical accuracy, and playability, it has to go to the Operation Desert Storm 30th Anniversary Edition. Simply brilliant. Kudos to all who contributed. A reminder of why this is such a great community. Thanks all. Slainthe! 1 2

pedrolucasnunes Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago I am currently focusing on Israeli conflicts in general: the War of Independence, the Suez Crisis, the Six-Day War, Yom Kippur, etc. Honestly, aside from that, I only see interest in the expansion mod for SF2 Vietnam that adds more aircraft, mainly Viet Cong aircraft, and I'm also interested in the Wings Over Korean mod. In total there are three different regions, three conflicts, but currently my focus is 100% on the Israeli war from 1948 up to the most recent year in SF2.
andrerocktorres Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Falklands 1982 for sure! Exocet, AIM-9L, amazing!
andrerocktorres Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago But my favorite theater of operations in SF2 is Vietnam, but I miss the A-6A Intruder in the game.
