Fixed issue with Ravenclaw's F-4s new cockpits

Hi everybody,

I noticed that flying the F-4E_79, F-4F_80, and F-4_ICE with the new Ravenclaw's cockpits, the RWR Track and Lock sounds were missing. I checked the aircraft folders and found that the _avionic.ini file contains a difference between the .wav file: in the [RWR] section, the TrackSound and LockSound lines say A10RWRLockSound.wav instead of RWRTrackSound.wav.

Maybe these Phantom´s era use the same RWR avionics from A-10´s?

What install of SF2 are you running? I believe the A-10 comes in with either a FULL or SF2:Europe install. If you don't have either of those you may be missing the A-10 sound files. Ravenclaw does not specify what version of SF2 is required for the cockpits but I'll take a guess they were developed them under a FULL install.

I may have all this wrong. Just speculating based on your issue and what I know of SF2 installs.

I don't know... But it's just a matter of sounds, not avionics. The RWR works without sounds, and since I didn't find an A10RWRTrackSound or A10RWRLockSound file in my SF2: Europe installation, I thought it was an issue.

A full installation. In this particular case I'm running SF2:Europe with NATO Fighters 5 add-on. And I didn't find any A10RWRTrackSound or A10RWRLockSound file. But now I changed the string in the _avionic.ini file and it works.

have you tried pm'ing him to ask why it is the way it is?

it is honestly equal odds that he has a reason for it being that way an that he goofed somewheres (he's had a lot on the plate last few years)

and if he has a reason then  he can probably help you track why it dont work fairly quick

here it is you can select from severall options , just rename them correctly

add the following entries to your soundlist and replace the xxx with the correct number in order

I didn't want to bother him, so I thought to fix the issue myself. Then I shared it to help others that may have run into the same thing.

from 1979 onward all F-4 cockpits should use the A10RWRTrackSound and A10RWRLockSound , so if for some reason this sounds is not mention in your Avionics.ini change it please , i think one of the reasons i dont uploadet them is that i assumed that every body has them , that was a mistake

the A-10 sound fits more to the modern RWR-displays if you wonder why we use them
