This addon is not in great shape. Quite a few of the cockpit instruments dont work, some arent there at all. There's no LOD's (I tried for 3 hours straight to get the 2nd LOD to show, no luck), there's no shadow, the flight model is crap at best. I dont really have the enthusiasm to finish this particular project. That said, I feel this project has been a success, it's my first REAL addon for any sim or game. I've learnt a lot and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. If someone SERIOUSLY wishes to "complete" it, email me and I'll send the neccessary files.

 

If you dont like this addon, dont feel it meets your requirements or you find it brings your fps down then dont whine, bitch and complain just delete it.

 

Required:

Strike fighters Service Pack 1

 

 

Installation:

===========================

 

Simply unzip the F-105D folder into your Strike Fighters BetaObjectsAircraft directory, start strike fighters and select F-105 Thunderchief from the single mission aircraft menu. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE "KEEP DIRECTORY STRUCTURE" CHECKED IN YOUR UN-ZIPPERS PREFERENCES.

Amourdave, the F-105 is spectacular! I just flew it around a bit..... Definitely more tricky to land, though, than the F-4....

Could someone do a review of this addon, what the warts are and all? I am trying to be picky about add ons, and it is better to get a review that to d/l and then uninstall if I have to. I love the Thud, but should I wait for the fixes to complete it?

this is so cool..it's even carrys Virginia tail markings! Way cool...now to learn to fly it and see what we all can do to help them finish it.

There's no harm in trying it now. It's only a 9MB download which even on dialup will only take you 45 minutes to download.

Dave, I went ahead and d/l'ed it before you posted anyway. I love the Thud, and your add on is no dissappointment at all. It looks great and flies great. I have only one question, and that is is it possible to up the gamma in the cockpit view? Mine is a little dark. other than that, i love it! Thnak you very much for the add on.
