Platinum Rogue Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 F-111-A, Combat Lancer, somewhere over North Vietnam (DRV) Almost every picture I've seen of 'Varks in Vietnam has the ECM pods loaded, but by default you can't hang them on it in SF. I couldn't let that stand. After much scouring of the various data files, and this forum, I found the solution. There's an error in F-111A_DATA.INI which prevents the pods being loaded on the stations, the length limit of the ECM stations is 2.85, but in WEAPONDATA.INI, the pod is 2.96. Made the adjustment and they magically appeared Who'd be a data analyst huh Quote
Flamer50 Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 (edited) Nice Job 'Rogue, Thanks. Edited November 2, 2006 by Bwf Quote

+SayethWhaaaa Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 ...the length limit of the ECM stations is 2.85, but in WEAPONDATA.INI, the pod is 2.96. Made the adjustment and they magically appeared Who'd be a data analyst huh I've had problems loading these kind of pods as well as other kinds onto some A-4s (in that the pod was registered as being there but was invisible during the sortie). I'll have to give this a go when I get home from work. Lousy job... :fuk: Quote
+Dave Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 That is odd as it always worked for me. And we made the thing. Quote
+SayethWhaaaa Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 That is odd as it always worked for me. And we made the thing. Work = lousy, not the scooter I had this same problem with my pig and the A-4 I use is the A-4G but then again for some reason there are a few things that don't work on that particular model despite being able to get them to work on the A-4K Kahu. I used the process above here to get my pigs in order (though never had this problem with the F-111C) gonna try it in a sec on my Aussie Scooter... Quote
Platinum Rogue Posted November 3, 2006 Author Posted November 3, 2006 OK, next problem... Custom Pilots not appearing, Stock red & white helmeted aircrew persist even after editing the INI, and adding the new pilot files to the F-111A folder: // Crew --------------------------------------------------------- [Pilot] SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT PilotModelName=Pilot1A SetCockpitPosition=TRUE Position=-0.3785,4.9695,0.9851 SeatModelName=seat_f-100 SeatPosition=-0.3785,4.8695,0.5553 canopynodename=CanopyFrameLeft [CoPilot] SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT PilotModelName=Pilot1A SetCockpitPosition=TRUE Position=0.3785,4.9695,0.9851 SeatModelName=seat_f-100 canopynodename=CanopyframeRight SeatPosition=0.3785,4.8695,0.5553 I have placed the .bmp, .INI and .lod files in the objects folder too, even deleted the stock pilots from there as well, but no joy. Is this just not possible any more or have I missed something? Quote
+Dave Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 I dont think you have the correct pilot names. Quote
+Wrench Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 (edited) All pilot bits go in the /aircraft folder, not the main objects folder ie: /objects/aircraft/all-the-pilot-bits-and-sundry Wrench Kevin Stein Edited November 4, 2006 by Wrench Quote
Platinum Rogue Posted November 4, 2006 Author Posted November 4, 2006 (edited) As far as I can tell I have followed the naming convention correctly, here's what the Aircraft folder contains: The filenames are unchanged from when I extracted them. Edited November 4, 2006 by Platinum Rogue Quote

I'm on the case now Much Better... Thanks for the timely response, Wrench Edited November 4, 2006 by Platinum Rogue Quote
+Wrench Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 (edited) Just doin' ma job!! Now...if we can just get the jammer pods on the F-111K.... probably just have to check the 'exported' box (or cheat like I did, and create them internally) Wrench Kevin Stein Edited November 4, 2006 by Wrench Quote
