Iran Iraq Campaign

*The breifing screens do not work with this add on. The add on is built for campaign play. Single missions will work 90% of the time depending on the plane used. This is due to some terrain issues, however campaign mode should work flawlessly.

Please read the read me text carefully for installation instructions. This is a seperate install. Please make sure you have the latest patches before installation.

In addition you will need the following:

Mig-25PD (can be found here at www.combatace.com)

F-14a(iaf) can be found at C5 http://www.column5.us/aircraft.shtml

or Check six

http://www.checksix-fr.com/

Latest Weapons pack (can be found at www.combatace.com)

There is also an optional skin pack that adds even more skins to the Iraqi side created by Phamtuan called : Phamtuan_Skinpack_Iraq that can be used to enhance the game. it may be found at wwww.combatace.com

This campaign is based on the Iran Iraq war that lasted from 1980-1988. It includes New terrain,, Persian music, photos, new screens, new sound files, new planes, new skins, and campaign files, heavily researched air units for Iran Iraq, historical air bases and locations and much more.

Hi,

know this is old now, but I have downloaded it and am playing around with it - just got the games.

The map is great, but I have severe problems with the loadouts.

My guess is this is updated weaponspacks since this was released.

Any hints as to how to make the phantoms accept the AIM-9P?

I think I have managed to get them to take AIM-9J, but the P escapes me (though IIRC the Iranian AIM-9P was a AIM-9J version they renamed P?)

Is it the USN entry in weaponsdata.ini?

Have some trouble with F-4D - the standard loadouts have a hardware point 15, while the plane only has 14?

And what's with the autopilot flying into terrain when us lazy boys use alt+n? (I know controlled flight into terrain is the no1 reason for plane crashes, but c'mon! :) )

Also, minor nitpick, the Iranians hardly used the F-5A in combat - but instead had quite a few F-5E/Fs :-p

And this is not a complaint! Just a n00b trying to figure out the ini's

It is old and needs to updated. We used the F-5A as we didn't have an F-5E. Don't use Alt N and you wont have that problem.

No it won't.

Rebuild it from the bottom up (including the terrain, which is being done even as we speak, for SF2 =ONLY=)

Hello Wrench, thanks for answering.

To be sure, do you mean that the terrain is being rebuilt or that everything is being rebuilt from the bottom up, including aircrafts, obejcts and the campaign itself?

By the way, could you please tell me who is actually working on it? Sso I can check with that person what kind of help may be useful to her.

Best regards.

I don't do campaigns (never having learned the ins and outs of them), so one of the experts will take care of that.

Terrain - only the best guy for the job.

Objects - being adapted (from various places, including an unfinished 08 level upgrade). Others will still be needed, however (upgraded from their original state, etc and so forth)

remember, it'll be for SF2 only, so ....

Time frame: next year

thanks for detailing Wrench.

Well, I'm no expert at all but if I can be useful, for example at searching for location of the various infrastructure or testing or whatever, let me know.

Best regards and good luck with the terrain.
