+Armourdave Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 Can you guess what I spent my weekend doing? :) I've got it to a point where its flyable in-game and Volksjaeger will soon start painting it. Cheers :) Quote
195th_Sith Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 And I thought the first one looked good! :D S! Quote
195th_Sith Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 THought about maybe a "G" model two-seater? Since we have shrikes and now harm missiles, a Wild Weasel version would be killer. I have tons of pics of the F-105G. S! Quote
+Armourdave Posted May 13, 2003 Author Posted May 13, 2003 I have thought about making a G, it's something I'd really like to do. It's all a matter of getting enough effort together to divide up some f-105G blueprints, throw them in max, jig some stuff around and remap the re-jigged parts ;) One will be needed for the vietnam campaign so I guess I'll have to do it at some point :) Quote
Guest Sony Tuckson Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 Jeezzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!! that rocks.... didn't think it was possible, but it looks even better than your original model!!!! man this is terrific!!!!!!!!!! With Volksjager at the paint shop, this model will be a "not to miss" one 8) Quote
+Armourdave Posted May 14, 2003 Author Posted May 14, 2003 G varient. I might also make an F. Cheers gents :) Quote
Guest Sony Tuckson Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 Dave, you are great!!! With hawker's Harm being readied, radar stations will now be a bad place to be Quote
Guest capun Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 AD Now that you (and the rest of the mod community) got us salivating, WHEN!!!! Good Looking model. How much time it took you to get to this 3D modelling level? I have just started and I see a steep hill in front of me. Quote

DarkPaladin Posted May 15, 2003 Posted May 15, 2003 is it just me, or do the inlets look alittle big on the SFP1 version? if you look at the picture they dont seem to stick out as far as they do ingame Quote
Guest Ranger332 Posted May 15, 2003 Posted May 15, 2003 think is more the angle of the photo. http://www.vectorsite.net/avf105.html Quote

I've been modelling about a year and a half, but like anything, it's the hours you put in and the new things you try that will dictate how long it takes you to become able to make realistic looking models. Lucky son of a bitch Fates :P Someday I'm gonna have to plan a trip to the US just to see a Thud. Looking forward to the rest of the photos. is it just me, or do the inlets look alittle big on the SFP1 version? if you look at the picture they dont seem to stick out as far as they do ingame Might want to check a few more photos before stating opinions ;) Cheers :) Quote

Capt Zorro Posted May 15, 2003 Posted May 15, 2003 Fates, Love Pima - great place! Many years ago my daughter (then 6, now 31) and I were vollunteers there. We took the F-104D (to the left of the Thud in your pic) out of mothballs - removed all the Spraylat and preservative and got it ready for display. Sorry for othe OT. Capt Zorro Quote
