+Dave 2,322 Posted September 10, 2007 I went back to the USAF Museum because I wanted to cpature the planes as they were in the hangers. With the right lighting and everything. Finally I did and these are the results.
+Fates 63 Posted September 10, 2007 Too bad they can't afford some lighting so you can actually see them.
FastCargo 412 Posted September 10, 2007 Actually, I thought the USAF Muesum was pretty well lit...but not enough for most cameras for normal handheld settings. I try to use a tripod when I go to muesums...I find it works better because I don't need a flash. Nice pics Dave...I really need to get back there someday. +Dave 2,322 Posted September 10, 2007 Too bad they can't afford some lighting so you can actually see them. They keep it dim on purpose to help preserve the aircraft. It also add to the feel of the place. I thinks it perfect.

FalconC45 162 Posted September 12, 2007 Hey USAFMTL, you'll like this story about the SR-71. When I heard about the retirement of the plane, I wondered about if the museum will get one. My mother, I assumed, knew that they'll get one. So, she told me that I have a denist visit for my annual cleaning. The truth was she sneaked me outta high school to see it land on the runway near the museum. I was in heaven for sure. Thats not only plane I saw land at the museum, I saw the 117 land too. Even talked to the TSSG (I think I got that right) of the 117A. Just wanted to share that to you :) Falcon

Viggen 644 Posted September 13, 2007 (edited) I love that F-106! It landed her self after the pilot bailed out! I smell a repaint The Cold War Hanger lighting goes well with the eerie, dark fact of what many of those planes were packing or were supposed to kill the buses of those weapons!
