FastCargo Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Don't get too excited...for those who don't know, these are not new aircraft, but aircraft that have had 'fuel tanks' in the shape of canards added to them. They do not fly any different than their normal counterparts. The F-15D you see using TVC is using independent controls...it is NOT pitch linked. These were things I whipped up because I was tired of studying for my checkride (now complete). Is there any interest in these things? Again, the 'canards' will not move, and do not change the flying characteristics of the aircraft at all. The thrust vectoring is only done using a seperate control and is NOT pitch linked...which may not be a big deal if you have a HOTAS. FastCargo Quote
+Zurawski Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 (edited) "Any interest?" Do bears screw in the woods? I'm always looking for unique stuff like this! (I guess that's pretty evident by my recent projects eh?) ... Reminds me of Flight of the Cheetah... Edited January 25, 2008 by Zurawski Quote

Guest Bounder Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 (edited) OMG lol looks like the Cheetah from a dale brown book Day of the Cheetah http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/images/n11/n59451.jpg Patrick McClanahan is back at Dreamland, this time as a Lieutenant Colonel in charge of the Dreamstar and Cheetah projects. The test pilot of the Dreamstar turns out to be a deep-cover KGB plant, and the plane is stolen. The only aircraft that even has a chance against it is Cheetah, flown by J.C. Powell and McClanahan. The stolen Dreamstar shoots down the second Old Dog project, and this time McClanahan's wife is on board...The chase is on... An action-packed aerial thriller and must-read for all Brown fans.. http://www.spencer1984.com/my_models/cheetah.php Edited January 26, 2008 by Bounder Quote

Mannie Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 FastCargo. We are all very imprest with the Cheetah, and somehow no one said a word about the SU-33 (Flanker-D) shown at the begining of this post. I want him to come along together with the Cheetah. we'll make room for them in Ramat David. Quote
