Guest CW2. Wells Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 It's all about camera angles guys. The rock tunnel goes up, the guy with the camera is lower than the tunnel it's self. All an aircraft has to do is shoot that line just perfect, and the camera take the picture at the right time and it looks like the Skyhawk is flying though the little hole. Instead it is going to pass over that group of rocks. The rock hole it's self is pretty small. You can sort of replicate this by holding a straw up to you eye and move your finger at your eye. There will be a point at which you finger looks like it is going to go into the straw. Same thing that is happening here.
+Wrench Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Cool! But, do we need to give MannieB more ideas??? The guy spends all his time flying under bridges, through hangers - and hangar decks on carriers...(side to side, not lengthwise) Would be nice to have a few physical features on the map to do this with!! Longestpants Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Man, remember threading the needle in Rogue Squadron?
Guest Saganuay82 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Mannie is the guy who should be heading up any SFP1 air racing mods.
Sgt.KAR98 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I can do the same. In Desert Combat I used to pass the MiG-29 throught the carrier hole...
Rambler 1-1 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 SWEET PIC!!! Unfortunately, if you look at it, the lighting is all wrong on the skyhawk. If it really was going through the hoop, it'd be in a shadow, I believe. Still, it reminds me of a praticular "Area 88" episode.
Viggen Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Meh, I do that in Ace Combat all the time. And thats at Mach 2.0 with a MiG-1.44 on your tail!
Rambler 1-1 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 yes, and we ALL know how realistic Ace Combat is...
Viggen Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 yes, and we ALL know how realistic Ace Combat is... Closer than Area 88. Closest AC got to was the fact that the F-22 is the all knowing king of the battle field.
Rambler 1-1 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Closer than Area 88. good point. I have to admit, I should have seen that one coming.
IAFmars Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 It's too dangerous Russion pilot want to fly across TIANMEN mountain in China in 2006 like this, but SU-27 is too big and TIANMEN mountain is a national park,so chinese allowed Russion not to fly across that mountain
