So, you're really into it now, Lou? Great (but like a drug - can't stopp. Disregard work, washing up, etc.)

Well, you know that now, don't you?

Yuppers, I'm hooked, but then I have been since RB3D. I spent many many hours painting up all the birds in Red Baron. But these OFF kites are SOOOOO much more fun to paint because of the size, detail and non-mirrored skins. :ok:

Stumpjumper, I love that HP you're escorting Sir. I'd like to not only fly that but also create a skin or two for the beast.

Cheers!

Macklroy, Olham, RAF_Louvert....

Thanks for the kind words re the screenshots; I'm very glad that you enjoy them. It's particularly gratifying to hear that some are being used as desktops, etc! These pics are an important part of my personal enjoyment of OFF.

I have to also acknowledge, though, the OFF team who gave us this spectacular flight sim, who ultimately are the reason that these screenshots are possible, and who really deserve a great deal of credit for this kind of happy immersion! Many thanks to all of you!

Thank you, Rooster, and Paarma

You have done so many already, Paarma - are you still hungry?

I've seen ,that you (?) had even made the blue-white Alb before,

that is now in the download section, by Deadhead.

Come to Berlin for a year, and we do them all together (Lol!!!)

Cheers; Olham

Yes Olham im hugry indeed! There is still so many albatros missing from p3. What blue-white alb you mean? I cant remeber.

Hey yeah if i found new porsche from german i will come to Berlin in the same trip :)

I meant the Albatros of Bohning (or Böhning) - blue and white striped fuselage,

with the card "Ace of Spades" on the sides.

You will buy a Porsche? I didn't know, they pay you so much for the skins!

Hey, I want a Harley Davidson Sportster - give some skinning jobs away!

Oops - almost forgot: I finished the Albatros D Va "Stropp" today. Followed Dan

San Abbotts opinion, that she had DarkGreen/Mauve camouflage. But still have

the other version ready. Here are pics.

I see. I notice the blue-white alb in the download section. It is Hans Böhnings a/c. I cant remember the resource but i find out that there was no "ace of spades" emblem but only other paint schemes. If i remember right the craft might have had white wings in jasta 76b or jasta 79b. I added lozenge and white wings version in the p3.

Just an update on my latest paint project.

I am almost finished now with the RAF 139 Squadron's Bristol F2b and will be posting it for download soon. Here are photos of the actual plane and of the new OFF paint for comparision:

OFF_F2b_D8084_02.jpg

I repainted the underside of the fuselage in the clear doped linen and dirtied it up a bit, and redid the wheels as well to match the actual plane.

Cheers!

Lou

She's a beaut RAFL, I think your Charlie Chaplin looks better than the 'original'

As a change from skin pics, here's a warning... called 'Getting Too Close to One's Kill!'

Getting_Too_Close_To_Ones_Kill.jpg

I wanted a screenshot of my first successful kill in a Camel and taxied a mite too close!

Apologies for the reduced quality, I've been experimenting with Fraps and have reduced the AA, hence the jaggies.

Thanks Dej, and for those who are interested and would like to give it a fly, I have just uploaded the file for Captain Sydney Dalrymple's F2b. Let me know if it works for you all. Enjoy.

BTW, cool screenies Sir.

Cheers!

Lol, no i just looking cheap used porsche. I have 924 now and im looking model 944 or 928. I have always loved all of those models. They are quite cheap in german.

The Stropp looks very nice. Yes i listen Dan San Abbott and trust his opinions often when making skins. The fuselage especially looks very nice. I like the wood color. Even better than mine...

Ah, at last you picked up the idea again; good!

Would also look good on an all silver or grey fuselage; maybe as a tiger shark,

with dark bluegrey striping (near a makerel)?

If you shouldn't use that idea, I will try it with this skin, you sent me (off the

competition, of course).

So, the hook brought up some fish at last (Lol!)

Nice 1 Red!

Ok, so here is the final Pfaltz (available for download)

Only problem I had (if someone knows how to fix this, I would appreciate it)...was that the area under the Guns is Lozenge...and I cant figure out how to change the colour to Yellow, to match the rest of the nose area.

Thanks chaps

You have painted the area on the top fuselage wrap strip the same yellow as you have painted on the side wraps...yes?

Great looking Pfalz by the way Widowmaker. And Red-Dog, I like your "leopard". Very spotty.

Cheers!

Getting_The_Hang_Of_The_Camel.jpg

This shot I thought was quite evocative. It's dusk, the sun is setting behind me and I'm facing the gloom of the East. I've just set the Albatros in front aflame and he glows like a tiny beacon, ironically taking the light of his own demise into the darkness of his own creation.

Yes.... weird!..can find no reference to it in the skin at all!

Wow, RedDog - that mottling Albatros looks great!

Dej, screenshots at dusk look great. I had a video from P2, were I fought Camels at dusk.

You can then see the impact of each round on the enemy craft - bright puffs of smoke,

illuminated from the glowing bullets. Very romantic - if you're not the victim )Lol!)

Nice shot and very poetic, Dej,

and really nice skins, Guys! :good:

I've noticed that most of the shots are in story weather or low light.. everything looks better then, but would like to see more shots in clear weather..comments?
