Vidken 0 Posted November 1, 2009 (edited) This was an ace, except the screenshots I got of him with labels on didn't catch his name. I'm running OFF stock currently as I only got it a few days ago. That was the second time I saw an engine blown out of an aircraft in OFF. The first time, I almost caught the engine with my face. I was distracted by snapping a screenshot of one of my first kills, and then noticed the aircraft wasn't on fire anymore... I didn't take the opportunity to take a clean screen though. Edit: Closeup of the engine from the other screenshot. Edited November 1, 2009 by Vidken
Rickitycrate 10 Posted November 1, 2009 When you run out of ammo throw your engine at 'em! The bastids. Welcome to the OFF forum Vidken.
Olham 164 Posted November 1, 2009 Ras, that skin in the "engine out" picture should be one of Max Ritter von Mueller; the yellow-black tail marks it as a craft of Jasta28w. Strangely, the display says, "you hit a Jasta 21 aiman".

RAF_Louvert 101 Posted November 2, 2009 . Yes I agree Ras, there were so many beautiful planes in WWI, and its amazing how many of them the OFF devs have created for us. If you've never done so you should use the DXTBmp program to look through the hundreds of plane skins in the folder of the sim. It will amaze you. Cheers! Lou . Olham 164 Posted November 2, 2009 (edited) Yes, indeed! "DXTBmp" is a free download program, to browse through and to convert skins into 24-bit bitmaps, for working on them in Photoshop or similar programs. You should check the Albatros D V of Jasta 21 - very unique skins there. The love and immense time invested in making all these skins cannot be paid, but hopefully savoured by WW1 aviation fans. You won't find an amount of skins anywhere near this. This alone would make me fly this simm for years! Hats off to OvS, Paarma, Sandbagger, Makai, Rabu and Capt.Winters! Olham 164 Posted November 3, 2009 One of those Jasta 18 daredevils, I suppose? Is that downed Camel a skin by OFF?
UK_Widowmaker 571 Posted November 3, 2009 One of those Jasta 18 daredevils, I suppose? Is that downed Camel a skin by OFF? No m8..it's one of mine.. 112 Sqd RAF 1918 (it's in the download area) Here is another one...lesson here...Dont try and take on four Bristol Fighters in a Pfaltz!!...the end came quickly, with a shot in the back of the head!....ouch
Olham 164 Posted November 3, 2009 No need to warn me of the Brisfit! I had lots of trouble with them! Lately, I have always ordered my wingmen to attack, so the Bristol was kept busy, and only then I attacked, and really shot my last two down without getting the notorious engine damage. But alone - never!
Vidken 0 Posted November 3, 2009 Tried out the SPAD XIII and N17. Flak enjoys stealing my kills in QC.
Olham 164 Posted November 3, 2009 Forget QC - when you want the real thrilling athmosphere, start a campaign. And give me a PM with your hometown and country for the OFF Pilots Maps, please.
Olham 164 Posted November 5, 2009 Good idea for a name for the escort fighters, Von Guber! (If you can still change the typing - it would be right: "Die Engel auf unseren Schultern") Good one!
VonGuber 2 Posted November 5, 2009 (edited) From DiD campaign mission. Also with typo fixed... thanks Olham. Edited November 5, 2009 by VonGuber

Av8er 0 Posted November 7, 2009 Hi I think it said on this thread somewhere how to take screenshots other then pressing print screen on you keyboard. I can't find it and was wonding if someone knew. Thanks, Av8er
Bullethead 12 Posted November 7, 2009 Hi I think it said on this thread somewhere how to take screenshots other then pressing print screen on you keyboard. I can't find it and was wonding if someone knew. During flight, the screenshot key is F3. When you hit it, you get a full-res .BMP file in your Documents/CFSWW1 Over Flander Fields folder. You can then edit it as you see fit. The Print Screen key is only needed outside of flight, like to take a pic of your logbook. And naturally, this isn't saved anywhere except to your clipboard, so you need to exit the game and paste from your clipboard to some graphical editor to save such a pic. VonGuber 2 Posted November 7, 2009 Alright thanks, I found the CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields folder but where exaclty in it would iI find the pictures? Av8er- Just to clarify, it will be the CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields folder that is in your "my Documents" folder. They are not in the CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields folder (of the same name) that is in your OBD Software install. When you open the one in "my documents" you should see your pictures. (ok , at least that's how it is here on my box....)
