It looks great! The camo pattern is almost like an American Marines combat dress camo

from today's forces. The checker pattern is phantastic! Hats off!

Which SPAD is it - I searched them for this camo pattern. Or is it a different graphic setting?

It looks less green, less red-brown somehow - more pastell.

Looking very impressive, Mike - but after checking the "K vs C" thread, it seems

it is already shot up by a wingman?

Hey, now I can see some detail! (Great job, Mike!)

But it looks like you have also dug in your starbord lower wingtip before?

Hey, those wipe-out-chalklines on the rudder...! I'll think of something similar;

I had it on an earlier D.II, but right now, I had forgotten.

Thanks, the starboard lower wing tip and aileron were shot clean off when my Wingman shot me down, so the mechanic went around the back to one of the wrecks we have for spares and got a new wing tip, he hasn't had time to paint it yet though - other than that he cut some fabric squares up to cover all the bullet holes - some of the rounds even went clean through the fuselage and came out of the other side!

Excellent Skin, good work! good.gif

Not sure what you could add to it, maybe a squadron aircraft number on the side or some camo added to the green?

Got a bit hairy this last mission Chaps.

Out on patrol, bally awful day..strong winds and bloody cold!.... Was Sausage-side having a gander, when our Flight were pounced on by some DVII's...I had already seen an SE5 come a cropper...and now they were looking for us

Damned Huns have no sense of Humour..looked a bit upset that we had popped over to say Hello...Jolly unsociable I'd say.

Anyhow Jonesy and Ginger managed to bag one each, but Harry Hun gets a bead on my six, and starts pumping away like a bloody gamekeeper on the Lady of the Manor whilst Hubby's away!...enough splinters coming off me to start my own damn woodworking shop!

Tried turning and looping like a Bally mad thing to shake the Blighter off..but he's having none of it!...damn Lucky that Ginger spotted what was happening, and he fired a few bursts at the Rotter...and saw him off!... These Huns never like to hang around and fight..they are in and out how's ya Father...bloody Cowards the lot of 'em!

Anyhow...canvas was flapping like a bloody tent...controls were very heavy...engine sounding like a Bullock with Piles...god alone knows how I got her back over the Lines....but I did.

Same again tomorrow chaps?

(actually..the screens are taken of seperate missions I flew today) :grin:

...engine sounding like a Bullock with Piles...

Thought that was normal on your blenders?

god alone knows how I got her back over the Lines....but I did.

Did you push her back home, and they let you through, cause no one wanted the pile of rubbish? :grin:

Same again tomorrow chaps?

Any time, Widow - it's so very entertaining to read and see, how you got your a*s kicked!

Mmuahahahahahahaaaaa!!!!!

nbryant, that is a very good start into skinning!

I don't think, anything is missing - it may rather be one colour too many;

the dark blue fuselage band doesn't seem to add well to the green -

perhaps if you just made it black or deep brown, keeping the white outline?

I wish I could - I have to travel through the whole of Berlin, to plott some sign writing

for a van, then attach it to the van elsewhere, and after that I am invited to a birthday.

No flying for me today, I'm afraid.

Wish you all the best for your sorties!

Testing my new Jasta 17 skin with my Albatros D Va, we had a "scramble".

I could shoot up two SPADs, but then someone crashed into my bird. Dead!
