Fortiesboy 3 Posted March 11, 2009 (edited) sorry, but i seem to be a little confused the second new thing. AI guns and my own guns, front and rear. what is the difference between hard and easy? i noticed on hard the spray factor is greater, which also is fine. Yes, 'tain't too clear IMHO. I'm looking for the Tightest spread of guns, which I took to be the Hard selection. I think, from the above, that Creaghorn understands it to be the other way round-lol Which is it,please, for Tightest spread ? Geier 0 Posted March 11, 2009 Hard is Wide and formerly Realistic damage. I really really recommend that setting. I've shot enemies completely to pieces (they fell apart) with it. With the 1.26 patch the planes are more frail than before so it works splendidly. I would say that it is easier to down a plane with the Hard setting than in earlier versions of the sim. Baywing 0 Posted March 11, 2009 V1.26 seems to make it easier to down a plane, I've used much less ammo and they fall apart faster. Not sure how realistic that is, but I would think 100 hits would have had similar effect in real life. It does seem more even now, I was getting shot to pieces every mission, yet my hits seemed to do little damage.
Guest British_eh Posted March 11, 2009 THE UPDATE HAS MADE P3 THE BEST SIM - PERIOD. Ok, so I'm biased. However it took a great sim and made it brilliant. The sound is excellent, and AI, just right. Too much choice WINDER for settings ( lol), but everyone can have their fix now. Biggest problem now is finding the time to play. Regards, British_eh
aust3298 0 Posted March 11, 2009 Winder, Pol and Co., I have been away for 5 days and I am blown away by the improvements in the flight models in 1.26 & hotfix. I especially love the way you have tweaked the Camel and the DR1. These are now the quirky, on-the-edge planes that I read about and have always imagined them to be. I have not flown them all, but really like the different feel of the various craft... easy and docile for the Pup but still deadly, a wrestling match with the DR1 and Camel. I have no problem with the Sopwith Tripe, but for those guys who felt it difficult to fly, try the DR1. Now there is one that has to be flown actively at all times but I think will prove to be one of my favorites just because of the capabilities. Anyhow, I love it. I fly at 130 realism with AI guns on realistic and mine on hard and feel the balance is about right. Thanks for stropping the edge of an already sharp razor. Excellent, excellent Sim done the way they should be... difficult, beautiful and completely immersive.
