macelena Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I found a game in a mall called "Combat Over Israel", but i had doubt wether it belonged or not to the thirdwire series. As my SFG was dubbed "Strike Fighters- Flight Simulator" by distribuitor, i didn´t know if it meant WOI, as far as the campaigns it described and the aircraft were the same, but i couldn´t see the screenshots well Is it possible that this is the mall, not online edition of WOI?
pixy Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 In Europe Wings over Israel is called Combat over Israel. There are not other differences between COI and WOI , only the name.
+MigBuster Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 There is a difference - Thirdwire don't support COI and have released NO updates for it!!

i fight by 1 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Why wouldn't it, isn't it just a different name? Try it and see what happens.
Emp_Palpatine Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I've seen that game in stores too. But here's my advice: buy directly at Thirwire and download it. More money will go in TK's hands and you'll have a fully supported game.
ndicki Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Emp_Palpatine's right. I've bought a number of sims from TK's online stie, and you know exactly what you're getting. But I wonder if I wouldn't wait a bit to see if SF2 Israel doesn't appear before long... It's as well to get the latest version whenever possible.
+Stratos Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I had the game on my hands last weekend, and the screens displayed n the back cover are of the old Jane's IAF game!!
Emp_Palpatine Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Yeah, Packaging seems quite strange... You are not knowing what you're buying. If you are quite at ease with english and do own a credit card and a good internet connexion, buy at TK's! The only problem is the lack of a physical support, but you are free to burn a CD with your downloaded exe.
