I'm holding off adding a lot of mods, simply because I don't want to reedit thing when I get SF2:E.

but, it's getting bigger, slowly, as I add things to test...

Easy a couple hundred aircraft in my First series install and about 132 for the Second series. I'm determined not to let stuff get into my Series two mods folder that doesn't pass stringent quality control tests (usually calculated as a product of how much fun it is to fly or blow up over how much of a FPS hit it entails)

Edit: Reason = talking out of my arse.

Hey Dave, any trick to getting the F4-E ARNs to work? (Sf2 merged)

The external model doesnt show up (only weapons) and the cockpit is missing too. I'm trawling through the ini files, are all these file definitions case sensitive now?

PB: extract the LODs from the TOS game, put them in the Arnie's folder.

for cockpit, adjust the main ini to use whichever of the F-4E in NextGen that's closest (and the avionics ini too!!) That's how I got the RAAF Phantom into SF2 .. super easy!!

Thanks Wrench, that did it. :good:

I was thinking since they were new models, they would be self contained. It really needs the lods from the original woe cat. So it switches to the plain old TW model from a distance

Nevermind, I dont know anything about this modelling & lod business.

Sit down, a nice comfy chair will do, grab a beverage of choice (hard, beer, soft, whatever) ... we'll teach ya!

Exactly what I'm doing

Drinking some cold Efes draft beer, moving my Turkish-Greek confrontation install to SF2:E.

WIP Anatolian terrain screens to follow soon

Stock SF2 SF2V and SF2E merged

Unlocked all models of MiG-17, 19, 21, 23 by slapping in some cockpits from Column5 (and also the trusty A-4 cockpit).

Added F-5 (since it's Vietnam era anyway).

Added Korean War Sabers and MiG-15 out of curiosity.

I avoid Modern jets for now.

OK. It seems my install is fubar. I don't see hi res skinned weapons. ARGH. Back to the ini search.
