Updating Older Planes to SF2 Standards

FYI please do not do any Mirage Factory aircraft. They are taking care of that.

OK and that's cool, will decrease the workload :)

F-105F/G should be uploaded in about an hour.

 

FYI, SF2V does not have the DESTROYED.LODs. It's an SF2E thing. So, the pointer will be in place in the data.ini, but it won't work outside of SF2E unless you've got both sims and drag it over.

 

If I've missed it, please tell me. I combed the SF2V OBJECTDATA files.

Just a suggestion which I think some of you are already doing.

With the new folder structure, you can actually conveniently include the required non-stock weapons in the package.

At least including the one required in default loadout schemes.

Yep, doing that already to make sure the right weapons are available...make sure you give credit to KB if you're using the weapons from the SF2 Weapons Pack!

Hey, I just noticed the Dog Sabres are using a 'fake' missile bay (ie using a gun with 24 shots...etc). The AI will engage air targets with rockets now...anyone modified the Dog Sabres yet? If not, I just need the coordinates of the missile tubes...

The Dog Sabres need some work. It's going to take a day.

 

Folks, I would ask that although we want to try to keep these as close to the original 'out of the box' as possible, that doesn't mean fixes can't be implemented or at least completed (such as AB effects for the EF2000, etc). Also, I know KB won't mind if you include weapons from his SF2 weapons pack, with any fixes they need (such as shadow entries). I've been testing these with bone stock installs, to make sure everything works and is available (all effects, weapons, guns, etc). Obviously, we don't want to go crazy with customization, just fixes to make sure of the quality.

For the F-105G, what file(s) and/or entries do we need to make to get them to automatically use the correct skin for fuel tanks? Right now, the F-105G only uses the silver ones (no sea camo).

 

*edit* - Never mind. It looks like I'll have to add SEA camo tanks from the weps pack and make the F-105G use those.

Super Bugs:

 

FC's work on Weps, models, and other assorted bits.... Done

 

Working on Readme finally.... I would say about 80-90% done.

 

Had an interesting PM discussion with Fubar512 about radar stuff, and need to check the KB for adding the newfangled stuff for SF2. Right now it's uploadable out of the box. I may edit some skins though with the custom drop tanks. If people want to request a squadron that's fine, otherwise I'll do a few or let the community do it.

I've been working on the F-104S and ASA.

Are we doing these for a merged install? Because I think vanilla SF2 doesn't have the F-104 lods? (cant check, I only have SF2:E and V which have these lods)

Sorry folks, haven't had a chance to fix the Sabre yet...working hard to get the rest of the T-38/F-5 2 seater series out the door (thanks to Eric and KillerB for all their work).
