Olham 164 Posted July 11, 2009 (edited) ...and some from Berlin, were I live since many years. The Gedaechtniskirche (Memorial Church) is a modern church, built around the ruin of the old one, that was destroyed in a bombing raid in WW2. The Reichstag (now our Bundestag - Parliament so to say) was wrapped by artist Christo in the 90is, before it got the glas dome rebuilt. The aircraft are hanging in the Museum fur Verkehr und Technik (...for Traffik and Technology). The DC3 is hanging outside, over the main entrance. Davy TASB 0 Posted July 11, 2009 What a charming town. The locals are now nationally referred to by the name of Smogmonsters! Middlesbrough (Teesside) used to have a thriving Steelworks, Chemical Industry and Shipyards. Unfortunately, most of these are fastly disappearing or being run down so the unemployment in the area is probably worse than it should be. The town is undergoing quite a bit of regeneration these days however. (Rabu - Did you look at the other links I posted, the ones with the nicer bits in them! The North East of England is not a bad place to live really)

All along Crosby beach are these figures called the Iron Men. I lived about 5 mins away from this beach Another one of my FAVORITE places. Welcome to Anfield, home to the best football club in Europe, Liverpool. The 2nd picture is of the Shankly gates.
