April's news :

:salute: Hello everyone,

Just some news about the map: I am currently working on UK, things are progressing well but not very fast, I would like

to add more coastal cities for UK. As you have found, I am now uploading the screenshots on my Gallery hete at CA.

Just out from the shop, you will find Dover and Eastbourne cities shots.

Stay tuned !

:salute: Hello everyone,

June's Update: UK being completed (Tiling) I have moved back to France.

New parts completed :

1)The Ardennes Area including Saint-Vith, Malmedy, Bastogne and Sedan towns .

2)The Meuse River Valley.

3)The Lorraine Area including Metz Town and the beautiful lake of Madine located South west of Metz.

4)The Moselle River valley up to its source.

5)The Vosges Area (I had to make specific tiles as the germanyCE tileset is not a good fit)

Next steps: I have to add a woods and forests to the Lorraine Area. Making the Rhine valley in Alsace, add Strasbourg

and Koblenz towns (The Moselle river joins the Rhine at Koblenz). After that, I will start to add trees, buildings,

airfields, targets to all the new tiles (a huge work as I have now ~ ). The Map will reach likely the 1500 tiles (currently count :1295 )!

Here below a few screenshots, more on My Website SFP1 Page

awesome. I'm looking forward to this. i have moved on to SF2 since this project was started but if it's not convertable to SF2 this terrain looks so good I would make a seperate install of SF1 just to use it.thanks for all the hard work that you have put into this.

You mean you really put Suicidal's house on the map ? Great, where is it, can we flatten it? What bombs would be the most appropriate, how much warning to Suicidal would be fair ? REALLY looking forward to that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Derk,

The Slumhouse can be seen in front of the 1st Biscarrosse Lake picture in this post (the one with the Catalina parked on the beach).

Bombing the slumhouse is allowed only if it hides snipers otherwise it will be considered as a collateral damage and you will get

a chewing by your boss ! LOL

Very impressive.

Is is possible to adjust the relative size of the people?

They appear to be 10 - 12 feet tall.

Hi Sinbad,

To answer your question, I do not want to make the people smaller, I have sized the buildings accordingly to a man size = the height of a building stage or door is bigger than the height of a men. Generally speaking, to improve the feeling of speed when flying treetop I had to size trees, people and buidings bigger that the normal game scale. I already did that with my Norway Map and was quite happy with the results.

Best regards

Impressionnant

A SF2 mod will be follow?

Christian

to answer your question, I will release the Map as a GEN1 version with working water effects. As per Wrench's comment, it should not be complicated to convert it to SF2 standard but I fly only SFP1 (too lazy to make a new install for SF2)

Hi Stary, to answer your question the counter is currently set to 1354 tiles. It will

continue to increase a bit as I will add road tiles and empty tiles to place the airfields

Here a small update on this project.

I have completed Bordeaux and Mont de Marsan towns. Mont de Marsan took a bit time as it required 16 tiles to be populated with 900 to 1000+ objects per tile... Thanks to my XL utility to speed up the process.

Next step is Toulouse town then I will move to the Provence Area with Marseille, Toulon etc...

A lot of work still to be done...

Here below several screenshots of Mont de Marsan. More on my My SFP1 Page. Due to issues with the Host company of my website, I have mirrored it to this new URL.

Stay tuned for future news !
