The text box will change and provide a Click to attach Files button. Click on that button, your computer files will then become accessable and you can then go to the folders wherein your pics are located use jpgs, bmps don't load for this site. Select your pic then click OPEN. The pic should then upload to your post. Once you get this basic upload done there are some further things you may learn down the line. Best wishes. UK_Widowmaker 571 Posted December 9, 2009 Edit: Widowmaker - your junior seems to have all the stuff I dreamt of as a kid! Lucky boy! My desired uniform was blue, with a yellow band along the leg sides. It had a black hat with a golden cord around and crossed sabres on the front. A blue shirt with double rows of buttons, a yellow neckerchief, white gloves, black boots - you got it: the U.S. Cavallery. I never got one, and had to make it myself from old blue jeans and other stuff. But in my phantasy it looked really good! Lol! Yes, Indeed m8!...I guess I am 'slightly' reliving my childhood through my kid...though he has always been interested in this stuff...haven't forced it down his neck or anything!..hahaha
OvS 8 Posted December 11, 2009 (edited) Ah... what the hell... 1. A 'boy', a dog, and a beer... what the hell else is there to life... oh yeah... puss... oops!!! 2. Sometimes it's better to take advice from the 'front' then to make yourself look like the 'rear'. 3. The Hammer. Edited December 11, 2009 by OvS

Olham 164 Posted December 11, 2009 Yeah, OvS looks like a Spartan with a drogue parachute under his jacket! Here's another "silly" attempt to look like the real aces. Who knows, who's leather jacket I am wearing here?

Who knows, who's leather jacket I am wearing here? I would say that its old Manfred von Richthofen's old chap...

RAF_Louvert 101 Posted December 11, 2009 . This was a great idea for a thread Pappy. I'm getting a kick out of seeing what we all really look like, and we do cut a swatch now don't we. BTW Olham, here's one of my attempts to look like a real WWI flyer. It's my pilot ID page from the 209 Squadron: And who's famous picture did I use for this? Easy one. . Olham 164 Posted December 11, 2009 Lou, my knowledge about the persona of WW1 is next to none - I've only yet started a year ago. But knowing your other picture is borrowed from Edward "Mick" Mannock, I guess, it's him?

RAF_Louvert 101 Posted December 19, 2009 Don't normally dress like this. No I don't image you do T&FO. It would make it a real buggar getting through airport security. Neat pic BTW. . . Oh, and Olham, it's Roy Brown's photo. .

JimAttrill 24 Posted December 26, 2009 Well, this isn't exactly a 'silly pic' although I must say that at 18 I looked very serious. Check the Buddy Holly glasses, all the rage in 1967. The photo was taken before we set off for the Nov 11th Cenotaph parade. An interesting place to be, for we could watch all the Guards fainting. Of the twelve teenage trumpeters none fainted because we had been told how to look as if you were standing at 'attention' while moving toes and legs a bit all the time. IIRC we had to stand in one spot for over two hours. I can be hired to play 'last post' for your deceased pilots
