What I'm Working On 1956 Add on to the Add on

- A (new) updated SF-2 Venom (all new skins) with 6°, 8° and 249° RAF Squadrons planes with serials done, in FM tweaking;

- Sea Hawk Suez collection, serials to be done/edited.

 

 

Now THAT is good news!!! The Venom needed some TLC for some time!!! (also means I can scrap the templates I was making .. save me some work!!)

 

good thing abou the Seahawks, is you might be able to point them to the Hunter's pit (unless the pit needs extracting, as was the case in 1stGens ... have to check that)

Use my mod of Kess's pit ... you'll find in in SF 1stGen download, look for "Venom Upgrade Pak". That's what I got right now in SF2I (stand alone). Also works for the Vampire (canopy framing is like 95% match), that one's also available in my "What If..." ww2 Vamp F.3

 

bonus points to ID the person in the picture in the pit :grin:

edit: if not mine, maybe even the Hunter pit for the Venom; but iirc, you have to have all the cockpit bits IN a /cockpit folder. I'll test that tonight; extract Hunter pit ini, adjust position, and see if it shows up to play. If not, extraction of all Hunter pit bits or use the modded Kesselbrut pit.

F-84 unit check, Mossie unit check....

 

This Mosquito (as others like Venom) has an old mapping issue on the nose.

 

To solve it - I think - the insigna sould be painted on the skin ....

 

If You PM to me the new skin I'll make a try.

Just for fun (and to remember just how to get around PSP again), I've played with this:

I think the model was done by Pasko (?) many moons ago, it's like 500 poly's or something (!), so I've done what I can. Not great, but I think it's an improvement on the current skin. The IDF's first modern tank, also used the by the French 7th Division at Suez.

dont suppose anyone would be interested in updated Bar Lev fortifications for 73??? Of course, on the Egyptian side, the pontoon bridges would need adding too....

Dave, I can totally re-do it if you want, how much time to I have? There's nothing to the camo itself, being all white, but I'd want to re draw the panel lines, add more detail, weathering etc.

 

Anybody know what color it would be under the white, bare metal or something else?

Ok added 3 Venom units, 5 French AF F-84 units, 2 RAF Hunter units. Just need the skins ini edits you guys are working on. After I get these skins etc. I think we are good.

BTW, is there any way to have the engine to populate airfields with static aircrafts from more than one squadron ?

That would make the situation at Akrotiri far more "interesting" and colorful.

 

I tried to pile "virtual" airfields over one another for SF2:E with squadrons attributed to only one copy and each copy assigned a few parking spots but with no success for some reason.

isn't that the old skin on the Venom??? I thought Paulo was doing a new one? Also, check your rolling radius for the nose/main gear ... it'll need some adjusting down. As about 99.9999999999% of 1stGen birds seem to need...

 

Have you activated the canopy? if not ... add to ]nose[ (or check to see if it's already there, and also check for a tailhook entry down near the gear statements; remove it if it's there

That Venom is with your updated pack added. I am awaiting the skins for it though. I have the campaign all set up and working, just need the bits and pieces to enhance it. I'm not worried about canopy animation. If someone wants to add it later then fine. I just see it as another thing to go wrong and it doesnt do a thing for me. WOOHOO canopy opens......big flippin deal. j/k

 

 

What's left:

 

Skins for Hunter5, Venom, Sea Fury and F4U-7

Still need someone to go through the F4U-7 FM and make not be able to turn 21g's.

IDF pilot packs from elephant and Xray.
