What i have heared in radio:

Mick Jagger was for the USA.

The USA is gone.

Mick Jagger was for England.

England is gone.

Mick Jagger was for Brazil.

Brazil is gone.

Will we hope that Mick Jagger isn't for us!!

PS: No he was for Argentina!

And finally the word of old Gerry Linecker "Football is a game for 22 kickers and finally the Germans win!"

For some time i had Brazil and Spain to be the two top teams with Germany and Argentina not too far behind. Hell, i even thought England might have a decent go at it this year.

So much for sports forecasting.

The Teutonic football machine is now firing on all cylinders and destroying all opposition!

Wow! 4-0. Incredible!!!!

Germany are unstoppable!

I give up making predictions now.

I really thought Argentina would be the boys this time.

Spain or Paraguay......can you stop the German football machine?????

Well, if we get thru Paraguay this evening, we got Germany....And in the event aliens (extraterrestrial aliens) invaded NYC and we won Germany, we would get to face the Netherlands. We are in deep Schitt

 They were playing a good side and they are through which is what matters - moneys still on Spain - or any team with Xabi Alonso in it for that matter (despite the second penalty) :good: Edited by MigBuster

NO, indeed it was pretty bad. So far, we met teams wich played denying the capability of the opponent to play, playing rough, loosing time and filling some lack of conventional quality with use of opportunity, a "Guerrilla" football, with some exceptions such as Portugal. However, Germany plays it´s own game, so it may be the best team we shall meet, but i prefer Germany and its play for quality to other opponents.

Holland totally deserved it.

they planned their game very well, and we felt in their tricks.

I think they were lucky. They were dead until Brazil self scored a goal. Then it suddenly looked like the brazilian players were the dead ones.

Unfortunatelly the "powers that be" (referees) seem to enjoy this kind of game. That or (as I have suspected for a long time) they are simply football player wannabes who suffer a case of extreme jealousy to actual players and take their revenge by allowing them to be kicked time after time by martial artists disguised as football players. Think of it: players who usually hit rival players more time than they kick the ball, can commit a lot of fouls (and I mean fouls the ref saw and signaled) without being punished; but as soon as a good player commits a foul he gets a yellow card (at least).

anyway, have you ever figured out if Spain and Holland are in the finals?

If that happens we should try to scare the dutch by wearing shirts with the face od The Great Duke of Alba on them.

Nay, i guess we should carry Mr Bean Tshirts instead. "Planetary event, Zapatero President of Europe"

Last time that happened it took 80 years to sort things out and the Duke of Alva didn't help.......

Cheating is now a sad part of football - that seems to have been imported from Europe - and even Brasil do it!
