Uuuuuuhhhhh - that's nasty! Only two?!?!?

Well, as a fighter pilot, I would most fancy these:

1. Morane Saulnier early monoplane (to give the Eindecker an equal opponent)

2. Siemens Schuckert D.III

But if I think of what we need most urgently, I would choose:

1. French two-seater (Caudron most likely)

2. large bomber (any nationality)

While I would personally enjoy some more early war fighters, especially something to fly against the EIII, I'd have to agree with Olham that it would be best to put in a heavy bomber on each side first. It would be an awesome thrill to be tasked with stopping an incoming formation of heavy bombers or try to protect them on their way to a target. Imagine the flak, the enemy fighters, the bombers themselves. The sky would be filled with every kind of danger. I doubt many of us would survive such missions though. Still, the thrill of trying!

Not sure I should reply to this but.....

The 'other' one, would be a Pfalz DXII :drinks:

that of course, is pure greed!....So, I guess I would go with a heavy Bomber too

Zeppelin and Handley Page 0/400 bomber. They'd both make excellent targets!

I would also like to see the early war better filled out, and my first two choices there would be the Morane-Saulnier L and the Voisin Type III. But then we really do need heavy bombers, so the Gotha and HP 0/400 would be very good to have as well. I'm torn. Of course, I'll take whatever new aircraft our busy team of devs sends our way.

We don't need any more scouts, and whilst heavy bombers are entertaining eye-candy, we don't really need those either.

What we actually need is a French two seater and one of the Albatros two seaters.

"need" is a relative term, (good old Maslow). We don't actually need this sim, but it's damned entertaining and I'm glad we have it.

""need" is a relative term, (good old Maslow)"

According to my memory of Maslow's Hierarchy (good ol' Psychology degree and PGCE), OFF does fit in rather well - self-actualisation and all that.

I have my Snipe..So I don't much have a 'need' now! :drinks:

It's been confirmed we're going to get the Gotha and Handley Page in Phase 4. That about does it all for me. I'm so happy I could dance! 2dqlso8.gif

Confirmed? Source?

If true, drool!

Now for some French two-seaters for both French and American campaigns!

Agreed Si, it does fit but it's still relative, as are all needs. Using Maslow's Hierarchy as mentioned, self-actualization only becomes a "need" when those in the lower levels of the hierarchy have been fulfilled. If they have not, something such as self-actualization isn't even a consideration, much less a "need".

Lou,

As ever, you're absolutely bob on with that comment - however, (at the moment (added as caveat!)) I have a lovely partner, a nice place to live, a decent job, a cracking car and all my own teeth. It doesn't get much better that than.

Oh, and I have a BE2 pilot with 60+ hours on the clock and an unquenchable sense that he'll see the end of the war...

I'm beginning to sense a problem here.

Oh criminy! I'm in the same spot on the hierarchy as you Si, except my pilot is flying a Walfisch and is pushing 80 hours. This does not bode well for either of our flyers. Better throw the good mojo down and quick...OOOOOO WA WA OOO WA, OOO WA WA OOOOOOOOO.

Hi there,

How about a late German Two Seater. Given that it looks good for the large bombers, and most lads fly after 1916, perhaps the Halberstadt would be a nice addition. Certainly my Pilot Dick Richards at 56 Sqn would be happy to sort out a few of the German Two Seaters?

Cheers,

Hi

I would like more early planes:

1. Same as Olham wrote above: Morane Saulnier early monoplane (to give the Eindecker an equal opponent)

2. Early French Farman two-seater.

Cheers

A late war Albatros 2 seater and the DH-4 2 seater. Both were used plenty in the later stages of the war.

For early I'll go with the Morane , and an early frenchie 2 seater.

My dear German Mmuahahahahahahahaaaaa. We recieved the note you kindly dropped at our Aerodrome with regards to the shooting down Allied aircraft. I think this is somewhat crass and quite deoplorable. Your impolite words lead me no choice but to refute your needless blithering and thusly I challenge you to a duel to the end. We shall meet between Lille and BailleiTown, over the Front, at 15000 feet, on October 14th, at 0900 hours. Feel free to bring a second with you, to pick up the remains. I will of course be in my SE5a; markings shall idicate a B on both the fuselage and upper wing, and number C 6351 on the tail.

With regards,

Captain Dick Richards

RFC Flanders

For King and Country
