dsawan Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Anyone ever thought of making one of these. Interesting story as some of the parts were used in British harrier. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dassault_Mirage_IIIV
+Wrench Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 (edited) you mean the Dassault Ballsac??? completely impractical; no war load, no range, what use would it be??? wrench kevin stein Edited November 23, 2010 by Wrench
+Fubar512 Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 you mean the Dassault Ballsac??? They actually named an aircraft after someone's scrotum?
Svetlin Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Nope, they certainly did not do that Balzac instead of Ballsac and it comes from Honoré de Balzac, as far as I know. On the other hand if the plane was practicly no good and was named after someone's scrotum, does that mean they implicated that man's scrotum was no good either??? What a way to leave a historical mark...

Spinners Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Didn't one prototype gain notoreity by killing two different test pilots (after being rebuilt after the first chute) ?
