Mirage IIIV?

Anyone ever thought of making one of these. Interesting story as some of the parts were used in British harrier.

completely impractical; no war load, no range, what use would it be???

They actually named an aircraft after someone's scrotum?

Nope, they certainly did not do that

Balzac instead of Ballsac and it comes from Honoré de Balzac, as far as I know.

 

On the other hand if the plane was practicly no good and was named after someone's scrotum, does that mean they implicated that man's scrotum was no good either??? What a way to leave a historical mark...

Didn't one prototype gain notoreity by killing two different test pilots (after being rebuilt after the first chute) ?
