well, worked some of the FM issues out. It's not perfect, but better than it was. I also decieded to do a Luftwaffe and ANR skin. The ANR will be tagged for "Nazi Germany", so as not to need a new nation; cause you'd need 2 -- one on the Axis side (ANR) and the Allies side (Italian Co-Belligerent Air Force Aviazione Cobelligerante Italiana, or ACI) IIRC, there are some ACI skins around here someplace...

Tactical numbers for both the ANR and LW are 'best guess', as I couldn't find enough info in my books or the net on what color(s) they might have been!

four and a half days ... ,no, make that 5. this is the end of the 5th day working on just the ONE city. Tried this 5 time now, moving adjusting - got to 200 items placed, and had to throw them all out 3 times. That's 600 lines in the targets ini for those counting. Made 6 new tiles (most not being used, of course!) Hours and hours of research. Finding detailed period correct maps. Photos of before and after ... And still can't get the fucking tiles right. There are some serious issues with the 3w tile system. As if we didn't know that for the last 20 years .... This is the best I think that can be done. When this terrain is finished, I hope you all enjoy it. Acutaly you are ORDERED to enjoy it!!

I can see by some of the responses that some of you have guessed what city that is. Unfortunately, while we have the carriers, we don't have the birds needed for The Raid.

On the other hand, there ARE plenty of Easter Eggs to keep you busy looking for ...

Macchi C.200 (ok, not really; call it a Fakkhi C.200) Gotta have something to replace the irreplaceable. Closest of all the radial birds of the 'time period' we've got

If you close one eye, turn off the lights in the room, squint with the other eye, and turn off your monitor, and stand 20 feet way, it doesn't look too bad... Still need to finish the camo. Went with all white numbers, as decals are easily repainted.

The original ATeam's is so old and so bad that your frankenplane looks very decent. Nice move!

Ok, now I've got some questions for you all ... 

As I'm working my way down the target areas, and populating the cities (airbases be done!), what is your opinion of 'building' up the cities EAST of Tripoli? These would all be in Allied hand at this time. The planning map 3 below, shows the areas in question, marked with the green dots -

Homs, Misturata, Sirte, El Ageihla, Masra Brega and Benghazi. All the airfields/landing grounds are complete. Adding the city items is nothing task, and will give players frying for the Axis something else to do. Well, at least as bomber escorts?? 

Again, it's not a problem for me to add the items ... just asking what all you 23 1/2 WW2 players think!

Also noticed we're missing the B-24Js for the MTO. And missing an OD/Gray "standard" skin for the 24D. You know, when you walk away from a project for 12 years, you really DO forget where you left off.

So, expect some skins (and updated data inis) in the usual '2 weeks'.

You can still share (upload) them here for others, if you want!  I'm sure the YAP WW2 guys would be grateful. 

(like one day I'll upload my P-38 and B-26 stuff I did for MTO with their birds)
