Derk 265 Posted March 28, 2012 Great memories of Coningsby: during my motorbike holiday in the summer of 1974, after a night full of in the pub in the village, a guy from 29 Squadron invited me at the base next day. It was great, spend a couple of hours in the squadron hangar, got a cockpit briefing in a Phantom, visited the BBMF hangar, sat in the Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane, had a walk around two visiting KLu 322 Sq F 104's and so on and had another couple of beers in the mess., It was absolutely Phabulous and Phantastic , those were the days......
