ok, I finally got the data in tweeked to my liking; got ALL the position lights (but NO landing lights!) add and corrected.

Getting rady to upload it. So the question is:

should I include the cockpit, avionics ini and suchlike that I've been using, or not? It's the Viking pit, with no tweeks (other than position)

Thoughts?

enjoy it, guys!

however, -- I made a mistake on the VAW112 skin -rename the folder BACK to USNGrey1, so that squadron will appear in the Iseland campaign

If you add skins for VAW-110, 115 and 117 - I might have to consider upgrading my computer to be able to run all this new, cool stuff!!

all that really would be needed is a partial template, if one wanted to paint the tail markings on the fins (and I've no idea on the mapping yet), or something to make decals from -which is MUCH easier!

there's some nice profiles in the Checklist #3 on the Hawkeye, which I finally got converted from djvu to pdf. It's 220mgs, so if anyone want to try ... I'll pm them the book (if I can squeeze it into my pm box!)

Why is this "thing" on top of the Dome?! Never seen it on RL pics

Hawkeye 2000 GPS dome.

Not supposed to be on the 1980's era E-2.

I think that is supposed to be a satcom ant. The cutaway drawings show that but without a dome. Only a few late model pictures show a small bump and the E-2D doesn't show that at all. And you are correct - we didn't have that in the '80's.

I have a lot of E-2D program documents including a cutaway drawing. I don't see that anywhere and no mention of it in the systems.

(I got a cut on the requirements documents a few years ago)

Yep, my mistake. Not GPS, but SATCOM. They call it the "Fez" because of the shape.
