Guys, I'll go on leave in less than 2 hours.

Visiting my little hometown, my mum and sister will be nice, and to see my little town

of childhood days again is always touching.

The salty sea breezes will blow the dust out of my olde brain and clear the lungs,

and fresh fish will be my favourite food food (I love alliterations!).

You all will have to post a little more than usual to fill the gaps I'm tearing ,

and please behave well, gentlemen.

I feel it already - 14 days without OFF and all you lot will be hard. Very hard.

Here are 2 pics (instead of postcards) from my favourite fishermen's harbour Greetsiel,

not far from my town Norden.

The nostalga for your story-book hometown brings tears to my eyes!

Hi there Olham,

Looks great! Enjoy. I'm off to Ft Laird, somewhere very fare North in BC, with very large bugs, and hungry Grizzly bears.

Cheers,

Great - I have internet access for some days!

Thank you all - gawd, how I do miss you lot already.

Yes, it's nice and peaceful here, and we just start a barbequeue, but still...

You all are also my family!

OK, who had lunchtime on Sunday, July 1, (Norden local time), as when Olham would check in? Oh wait, that was me! I knew this pool would pay off.

Glad you are having fun mein Freund, enjoy some BBQ for me.

Argh - wrong question, von Paulus. I don't drink it anymore (except virtually),

but I must admit, the fine summer weather here made me very thirsty, and

I would have loved a huge Warsteiner on several bicycle trips!

Sad to hear that, Olham.

It must even be harder for a German.

I too stop drinking alcohol when I quit smoking, and still miss both.

I only drink beer at meals (and far from being always). But I don't think beer should be considered an alcoholic drink. I think most of the men agree with me.

We Portuguese call it as "sumo de cevada" (barley juice).
