nice tiffie...few things..

shadows...

looks like some meshes have double sided applied to texture...see shadow main and shadow of ehauts reversed...because of it..

otherwise nice model..

I sharpened up the skin a tad.. too..last 2 shots upper one after and lower one before sharpening

I´m delighted by the new Typhoon - thanks V2K!!!!! With the shadow bug just fixed the only missing thing (not V2K fault) is the cockpit wich´s the bubble type. As Stary is out for unknown reason, my plea goes to Raven or someone else to make a new Typhoon car door pit. The crowd will be pleased. Any takers?

Sorry V2K, I didn´t catch... Is there a Typhoon pit in the works? If so I´ll take my pills right now! :crazy:

he's talking about the later mark Tiffys with bubble tops (IB, irrc), not cockpits. Which, if we're very lucky and bribe him with expensive liquors, may also give us a Tempest.

With judicious ini editing, and perhaps the "OpenCockpit=TRUE" statement, you can have the framing show.

Humm... Nice to know. I did my "opencockpit=TRUE" version and you can try by adding this to the Typhoon_Cockpit.INI:

ExternalClipDistMin=0.044

OpenCockpit=TRUE

Position=0.0,-0.43,0.734

OffSet=0.0,0.02,0.034

ViewAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0

MaxYaw=130

MinYaw=-130

For the Typhoon_DATA.INI:

[AircraftData]

DestroyedModel=A-1_Destroyed.LOD

DestroyedEffect=VehicleFireEffect

EmptyMass=4010

EmptyInertia=12431.0,10225.5,20370.8

ReferenceArea=29.6

ReferenceSpan=12.67

ReferenceChord=2.336

CGPosition=0.0,0.0,0.0

CockpitCGOffset=TRUE

OnGroundPitchAngle=11.5

Component[012]=SlowProp

Component[013]=glrshld

Component[014]=cockpit

Component[015]=pedals

[Prop]

ParentComponentName=Fuselage

ModelNodeName=Prop

ShowFromCockpit=TRUE

[FastProp]

ParentComponentName=Fuselage

ModelNodeName=FastProp

ShowFromCockpit=TRUE

[slowProp]

ParentComponentName=Fuselage

ModelNodeName=SlowProp

ShowFromCockpit=TRUE

[glrshld]

ParentComponentName=Fuselage

ModelNodeName=glrshld

ShowFromCockpit=FALSE

[cockpit]

ParentComponentName=Fuselage

ShowFromCockpit=FALSE

[pedals]

ShowFromCockpit=FALSE

[instpnl]

ParentComponentName=Fuselage

ModelNodeName=instpnl

ShowFromCockpit=FALSE

[Fuselage]

ModelNodeName=Fuselage

ShowFromCockpit=TRUE

Is a stop-gap fix but it looks a little weird as the upper canopy hatch has a gap at the hinge. Check it out.

Holy Cow! V2K, you not belong to this earth. BTW, the bubble canopies has a whip antenna in place of the old fixed mast. Fantastic!

Ohhhhh! Bubble top Typhoon variant!... the way for a future Tempest Mk.V?

Yesterday I read... the "Le Grand Cirque" by Pierre Clostermann our WW2 ace who flew the Hawker fighter...

- "Break Port Talbot!

- Flat-out, climbing... Don't let your speed drop!

- Hullo Railroad, better come and give us a hand... Forty 109 over Hoya,

- Joint-up Blue 3 and 4,... for Christ's sake

- Joint up!!!

- Talbot Blue 3 Break!

- Talbot,... breaking port... Attack!!!" (Tempest vs Messerschmitt, page 193)

Many thanks Veltro2k!

Coupi.

needs more framing on the nose; E's didn't carry the squadron code, plane-in-group or air division markings. Just serials (we can fix that as needed)

I can dig up some images if needed, Ed.

I LIKES it!!!

edit: just a pic from a quick search of my books. If you need a front view, I've got one of them too!

Wilches: Yes; post 113th built (as evidenced by the Sperry ball turret)

Ed, that's damn near perfect!!  I've already started running down nose arts & serials for the PTO version.

haven't decided on if trying to attempt the camo for the ETO versions...
