UK_Widowmaker Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 I remember this photo from 1962, of a pre-production Lightning crashing....amazing shot! (the Pilot Survived with several Broken Bones) when he smashed through a Greenhouse full of Tomatoes)
macelena Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Glad he made it out, it seemed like he would smash the ground without the para opening. Guess partial aperture and thats why the broken bones. Had to be terryfying
Lexx_Luthor Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Somewhere, there's a WW2 shot of a Stuka crashing into a town, well behind a building that was near the camera, and the Stuka is nosing down seemingly right into the chimney of the much nearer building.
Lexx_Luthor Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 ...and it was crashing, nose vertically down and only about 500 feet high, far too low to pull out.
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Thats the way ketchup was inveted ...
+Stary Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 looking at this picture I'm allways amazed he didn't died in big ball of fire/debris being that close but I think perspective is at play here
