May it was with an LGB ? Anyway, the elimination of the escorting convoys of vehicles and the one who carrying the Yassin sheik (some years ago), I think it was a "Apache / Hellfire" duet.

 

Edit: I had not yet seen the new images, it is indeed an airstrike.

Was not an LGB as there would have been a lot more collateral damage... even with a 250lb variant... so your looking at Apache with Spike or Hellfire.

It was being reported as drone strikes, here, but now they're just saying airstrikes due to the follow hits...

Perhaps we can consider the use of a GBU-39 ? But the accuracy of the GPS guidance is still too low for a strike in a so densely populated area.

I can tell you one thing...if Leon Panetta, Donald Rumsfeld, or Robert McNamara had been killed in an airstrike, you would NOT see me bawling in the streets about it.

Nothing morbid about that, looks like a quick clean kill, those guys were coking and joking and then .............................They didn't suffer or feel a thing unlike what they do.
