Ice Man Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 If you want more informations about the Italian and Austrian fortifications gone to this link:http://www.magicoveneto.it/storia/Iggm/GuerraForti.htm , is in italian language but at the end of the page there are others links also in english. Saluti George
Ice Man Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 If you visit this page you can find a lot of good books free about the WWI on the Italian front: http://www.istrit.org/pubblicazioni/GrandeGuerra/grandeguerra.html About the air war on the Italian front the book "Il fronte del cielo" is the best ,ever downloadable in the same page. Greetings, Teo

Ice Man Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 About the fortifications, don't use the fortification called "AusFort-1" because is good for represent the fortress of Przemyśl used by Austro-Hungarian Army on the Galizia front. This is the link about the history of this fortification: http://www.austro-hungarian-army.co.uk/przemysl.html Greetings, Teo

I originally made the fortification objects in response to requests from the FE map makers. Later, I expanded the selection so the objects could be used in other times and places.
+gterl Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 Correct, thank you. I'm not using that one on the Italian map
+Geezer Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Haven't had much time for modding, but have been able to experiment a bit with terrain tile art. By trial and error, I've found that a Google map shot with the scale bar at "200 feet" will paste down on a 500m FE terrain tile and - almost - look real.
+Stephen1918 Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 These are beautiful. I can imagine flying over a town filled with detail like this. The aqueduct is a nice touch. Are you planning to use these in Spain?
+Geezer Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 (edited) These are beautiful. I can imagine flying over a town filled with detail like this. The aqueduct is a nice touch. Are you planning to use these in Spain? Yeah, everything you see - except the tile art - is intended for Spain. I also have plans to design clumps of town buildings in a modular system, so they can be placed on the map several different ways. When Gterl and I first discussed a SCW, we agreed we wanted better buildings - George called the current buildings "cuboids" and requested more detail. Edited September 28, 2015 by Geezer
+gterl Posted April 9, 2016 Author Posted April 9, 2016 Updated to V 2.0 - Removed (risk) of having ships on land - Added all historical fortresses (Austrian & Italian) - Added bridges - Minor corrections Have fun cheers George 5
