+CrazyhorseB34 937 Posted June 26, 2013 Really who would hire somebody with an online degree in "Homeland Security?" The ad banners on this site sometimes really crack me up.
+Erik 1,812 Posted June 26, 2013 You wanna know something even funnier than the banners? The banner ads are all generated from your browser cache. So if you visit "Disneyland" in your browser you will get Disney ads. If you visit someplace like "DHS" "Continuing Education" "My Favorite Dog", or "Ford" you'll get ads targeted at those searches. Browser integration doesn't stop there. If you have a gmail account, yahoo account or any online email it will also use those emails to generate targeted advertising toward you the end user. So if you're seeing a specific ad its tied into something you've done recently. In case you're wondering this is not browser specific it applies to them all. Interesting huh?
macelena 1,070 Posted June 26, 2013 And your traffic records too, they got it right with the car insurance, but i got ads for general purpose flea repelent and i got no pets...oh wait...
+CrazyhorseB34 937 Posted June 26, 2013 I know how that works, but I have never inquired about an online degree in anything. What is even funnier, I have banners for local vacation spots and had a political ad banner for some lady running for local city council on CA! Every time I look at porn I get "online bride" banners so what ever works, works. It just cracks me up.

James Fox 22 Posted June 26, 2013 I do not mind KFC a few times per year but but I like the bottled Kentucky better.
+Erik 1,812 Posted June 26, 2013 I'm with you on that. Kentucky Bourbon is some of the best there is. I think I hear a bottle calling me now. I have some Parker's Heritage that's about 30 years old that is the best I've had but I'm sure there's better.
+CrazyhorseB34 937 Posted June 26, 2013 Just now I got a "PayPal" advertisement in Chinese.

+daddyairplanes 10,255 Posted June 26, 2013 Crazyhorse, i figured you for old enough to have a crazy Korean, German or Panamanian wife. whatchya doin lookin up online brides? and why are you tryin to get them Homeland Security degrees? on second thought, that might be a win win for both parties. the menfolk would object less to TSA if they were getting patted down by alot of asian or south american women, and the women get in the country on a student then work visa. "yes maam i think you need to pat my ankles again. could you look at me while you do that?" (was that wrong. yes yes it was)
+Erik 1,812 Posted June 26, 2013 Yes I have never understood that reasoning either. You're trying to catch your flight and you have a million things on your mind then you hit the TSA screening area. Bubba the big burly guy with a wand decides he wants to pat you down. Now you've some strange guy's hands on your junk and your problems went from a million to at least a million and 10. However if they'd allow the young attractive working her way through college girl feel around your inside seam on your trousers your problems immediately drop to just 1 thing. I say they have this all wrong. Plus I'd have an excuse, but honey those are the rules, oh crap I left my watch in the car, BRB.
+CrazyhorseB34 937 Posted June 26, 2013 No my wife is from my same hometown. In European airports the people who ask you the "questions" are usually pleasant looking and non threatening like a restaurant hostess. I have yet to understand how my tribe does things. eagle2046 2 Posted June 26, 2013 (edited) Yeah Erik, interesting stuff. When I saw the DHS advertisement, I never even knew there was such a specialized degree of study. Maybe because my cache revealed previous Arfcom activity. Edited June 26, 2013 by eagle2046
+CrazyhorseB34 937 Posted June 26, 2013 Now they want me to get a degree in "Counter Terrorism." This is a diploma mill. Caveat Emptor.
